This gorgeous little lady is Kitzy. 🩷🐾

Unlike her older and bolder housemate Mitzi, Kitzy is still very young and doesn’t venture outside just yet. She’s happiest exploring the safety of home, playing, snoozing and keeping a close eye on everything going on around her.

It’s always lovely getting to know kittens and young cats as their personalities start to shine through. Kitzy is full of curiosity, charm and all the sweetness you’d expect from a youngster discovering the world at her own pace.

For cats like Kitzy, staying in their familiar surroundings while their humans are away helps keep everything calm, comfortable and reassuring. 🏡💕

I love being able to provide that reassurance, making sure they have plenty of care, attention and company until their family returns home.

As our cats get older, having a trusted cat sitter becomes about so much more than feeding and litter trays.

Senior cats often thrive on routine and familiarity. Changes can feel more significant to them, and they may need a little extra observation, patience and understanding. Small changes in appetite, mobility, grooming habits or behaviour can sometimes tell us a lot about how they’re feeling.

Because I know Cleo well, I know what is normal for her. I know her routines, her favourite spots and how she likes to spend her day. That continuity can be incredibly reassuring for both cats and their humans when they’re away.

For Cleo, staying in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by everything familiar, is often the kindest option of all. 🏡💕

Growing old is a privilege, and caring for our senior cats with kindness, dignity and respect is something very close to my heart.

A little reminder that Sitting Kitty isn’t just about cats… 🐔

I had such a lovely time connecting with these gorgeous ladies. I used to keep my own chickens, so it felt really special to potter about with them again — even if it was sadly a bit too cold for them to reward me with any eggs! ❄️🥚

Alongside the hens, I was also lucky enough to look after this friendly little feline, Nova. She made a point of welcoming me at every visit, waiting patiently no matter what the weather was doing outside. Those little arrival greetings never get old. 🐱✨

Caring for animals in their own home — whether they have feathers or whiskers — is always a privilege, especially when you’re greeted with familiar faces and quiet routines.

The dream team I had the pleasure of looking after recently 💕

These three gorgeous cats each have their own unique personalities — Maisie is gentle and quietly affectionate, Myrtle is curious and full of sass, and Loki… well, he lives up to his name in the best way! 😼

During my visits, I made sure each of them felt seen, safe, and loved — whether it was playtime, snuggles, or simply sitting quietly nearby while they did their thing. It’s always such a privilege to be trusted with someone’s beloved pets while they’re away.

Whether your cat is shy, bold, cuddly, or independent, I always tailor my care to suit their individual needs and quirks. That’s what Sitting Kitty is all about — care, connection, and cats. 🐱
