🌡️ It's hot out there. Your dog feels it too.
When the temperature goes up, dogs can dehydrate faster than you'd think, and most of them won't just stop and tell you. So if you're out on a walk this week, keep water close and offer it often.
A few things that help on hot days:
Water on the go — we stock two great options. The KONG H2O Stainless Steel Water Bottle (£14.99) is a handy, eco-friendly bottle with a built-in drinking cap, so you don't need to juggle a separate bowl. The Kong K9Unit Insulated Bottle (£17.99) is a bit more heavy-duty, with a wide neck that lets you add ice on really warm days. Both hold 0.7L and are worth keeping in your bag all summer.
Something to drink that's a bit more interesting — Furr Boost drinks are a great option for hotter days. Made with human-grade ingredients, they come in flavours like Chicken, Butternut Squash & Cranberry and Beef, Broccoli & Blueberry, and they're a good way to get a bit of extra fluid into dogs who are picky drinkers. Just pour over their water, or serve alongside it.
Shop both on our website, links in the comments.
And on a serious note: if your dog is panting heavily, drooling a lot, or seems wobbly or confused, get them somewhere cool and contact your vet. Heatstroke in dogs can move quickly.
Stay cool out there. 🐾
