Another one that we were in the thick of, we can't tell you the relief when Chiara picked him up today.

The theft and vandalism of equipment is massively frustrating, this is life saving equipment that we desperately need.

Don't forget that you can always donate in our store, all the cash goes directly to Missing Pets, Dundee and Angus. We also have our annual Christmas Market in November that fund raises for them.

Get some well deserved rest Chiara and Atlas, feel free to drop in anytime. We’d love to see you both.

❤️ATLAS IS NOW HOME SAFE ❤️

5 looooong days of running around Arbroath for this very nervous boy after he slipped his harness on Saturday 18th July. Atlas covered an amazing amount of distance, avoiding everyone and everything in his path. Travelling under the cover of darkness, he knew he could go undetected ., he obviously didn't factor the ring doorbells 🤣
Twice he was captured on ring cams and we could see he was trying to return back to the area he knew, despite heading north a couple of times, giving us the fear he would reach Lunan 🫣 god knows he was capable of it..

Not once did he loop back to where we had cameras set up, making this a very stressful and frustrating search, with lots of late nights by volunteers, from 9pm til 5am at one point. Thermal scopes got him one night but he was disturbed and took off. Thermal drone just couldn't locate him but we believe he was travelling by using the woods.

Eventually he had to listen to his rumbling tummy and he ventured out again daytime (today). A quick post made by spotter and Chiara headed straight over, eventually getting him at the back of pleasure land 🥰 He was soooo happy to see his human, he didn't even hesitate to show her how happy he was, and dived on her 🥹. He was taken straight home, fed and will now sleep for a week.
We are so happy he is home.

Unfortunately we encountered a few problems on this search, namely vandalism and theft of our equipment which stopped us from being able to monitor his movements. Despite posters up saying they were in live cameras, this didn't stop them and we lost equipment. One of our vols was also accosted by a drunk man who threw milk over, and inside his car while he was silent searching with his window down. Not what we should be dealing with as volunteers trying to help owners. Thankfully this is not a regular occurrence.

Huuuge thankyou as always to every single person who helped get this boy home. Searchers, car spotters, ground search volunteers and poster makers who were prepared to distribute on foot today. Special thanks to the girls at Missing pets Montrose who were also on the ground every night scoping and car searching.

Thanks also to the The Pet Food Store who not only are they some of our ground searchers, but supply the tasty food for luring lost dogs 😍

☀️ Hot weather reminder for all our wonderful dog owners! 🐶💙

Fluffy Frenchie Reign popped in today to top up on his food and treats, and he made himself right at home by chilling in the freezer with some refreshments while his mum shopped! ❄️😂

With the temperatures staying high, please remember to keep your pups cool:
💦 Always make sure they have plenty of fresh water.
🌳 Provide access to shade and avoid walking them during the hottest part of the day.
🐾 Keep an eye out for signs of overheating.

If you’re passing by, we’ve got everything to help keep your furry friends comfortable, including:
