Brown Street Kennels We're here to help re-home dogs to their forever home and reunite stray dogs. Our page is monitored during weekday opening hours.

With a team of dedicated animal lovers all dogs in our care are given VIP treatment. Visiting is by appointment only. If you are looking for a dog as a pet, then Brown Street Kennels (which is part of the Council’s Animal Control Section) may have the perfect canine pal for you. Every year about 250 dogs are successfully re-homed from the kennels. Most of the dogs have been brought to the kennels

by their owners because they are no longer able to look after them. Prospective new owners are assessed to ensure they are responsible people able to give the animals the attention they deserve. A charge is made to cover kennel costs. This is subjective to change and should be discussed with the kennel staff. All dogs re-homed from Brown Street Kennels are microchipped.

🟢 Update - Ollie has found his forever home! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

🐾⬇️Rehoming Appeal⬇️🐾

Ollie, Cross Mastiff, Male, Approximately 6-8 Months Old, Large, Black & White, Short Hair.

Ollie was found straying but his owner never came forward for him. 😢

He is still a puppy so will need a family with a lot of time on their hands to train him, and he will also need large breed experienced owners. 🐶

Ollie is responding well to training and is picking up simple commands quickly but He has much to learn so he would benefit from training & socialisation classes. 🎓

He will be suitable to families with children over the age of 12 years old and we think he would enjoy the company of another dog (Medium to Large). 1️⃣2️⃣➕
He won't be suitable with cats. 🐈🚫

Dolly is looking for her forever home after not being claimed.

As she is still young she will need a sighthound experienced home that can give her the training that she requires.

She is full of energy and will need long walks, so she is looking for an active family. She won't be suitable to households with children under 12 years old.

She may be able to live with other dogs pending and assessment at the kennels, but she will not live with cats.

Mayve was a stray back in March of this year and was not claimed. She didn't need to wait long to find her forever home.
Her new hoomans sent this:

'Hello. I thought you might like an update on wee Mayve. She is doing amazing. She can even spin now as a trick. She is now socialised with other dogs and loves running in the dog park. She is very much-loved member of the family. Still working on not needing a lead but she no longer pulls and has everlasting energy ha ha. She is fearless. We love her tons.'

🎉 Congratulations to Myles, Drew, Lewis & Ben who all took part in the Dundee Kiltwalk and fundraised to support our dogs. 🐶
What an incredible combined total!! 😲
