A bittersweet day today. 💙🐾

Today was my last walk with the lovely Mac, as he and his wonderful family are moving up North for work.

As if saying goodbye wasn’t emotional enough, I was completely touched to receive the most thoughtful gift and beautiful card as a thank you for walking Mac over the past two years.

I may only have walked Mac one day a week, but he became such a special part of my week. It’s been an absolute privilege to watch him enjoy our adventures, get to know his wonderful personality, and build such a lovely bond with him.

To Mac and his amazing family, thank you so much for your kindness, generosity and for trusting me with your beautiful boy. Your thoughtful gift means more than you know, and I’ll miss seeing Mac’s happy face every week.

Wishing you all the very best in your new adventure up North. I know Mac will have lots of exciting new places to explore. ❤️🐶

I offer a dedicated 1-on-1 grooming/spa service perfect for small pups who prefer a quiet, gentle environment with no distractions. Im initially opening up just two groom sessions per week. There’s no rush for time so I can focus fully on grooming each dog in a way that works best for them. Toilet breaks and playtime will be given as needed (perfect for leaving these mud masks on) and of course fresh water and treats along with lots of hugs and kisses.

I’m Pet First Aid and CPR trained with many years experience caring for tiny K9’s of the Dinky variety.

Our adventures over the last couple of weeks, we experienced some very hot weather, so unfortunately some pups had to miss their walks, it just wasn’t worth the risk, others had some shorter walks in the shade and water or garden breaks.

The week ahead is still looking warm, so will take each day as it comes. As always your pups will be attended to if home alone.

Thank you all for your understanding, your pups safely will always my priority

“No dog ever died because they missed a walk but plenty died being walked in the heat.” Never was there a truer sentence.

Lots of dogs out running around in the heat these past few hot days 🥵 and with more heat forecast please take care.

Don’t risk it!

If your dog gets overheated follow these steps …

👩‍⚕️ Call the vet
🥶 Begin active cooling before travel
💦 Get them wet - all over
🌳 Get them to a cool or shaded spot
❌ DONT cover them in a wet towel
🪭If at home put them by a fan
🌬️ For the journey get the air con on
⚠️If using a hose let it run cold before turning it on the dog
👕If using a cooling vest they MUST be kept cool and wet 💦

Dogs in hot foreign countries are used to the heat and are acclimatised to it, dogs in Scotland are not.

Remember …. Get them wet and get them to the Vet!

The remainder of last weeks walks🐾😍

Thankfully, I had a few dogs off last week due to holidays etc. Some owners were home, and happy to attend to their own dogs, this allowed me time to concentrate on the home alone pups.

Wednesday 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
🐶Tara, Tikki, Raffles and Reava had a shaded walk with lots of water to keep them cool, even Raffles dipped his paws 🐾 in ❤️💙
🐶Finn had garden fun with Bernie.

Thursday 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
🐶Woods and water again for Tara, Tikki and Bernie.
🐶Bernie and Finn also had some fun in the cool shaded woods and garden fun 🥰

Friday 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
🐶 Finn, Gus, Pippa, Sunnie, Tara and Tikki enjoyed an extra long walk. Sunnie was happy to be out again, due to his age and being a Brachycephalic breed, there was no way I was going to risk walking him in those high temperatures.

Next weeks weather is looking much cooler, so hopefully we will be back to normal. 😍

The temperature in my van at 11.45 today 🔥

Reminder, I will asses each day as it comes over the summer, if I feel too hot 🥵 your dogs won’t be walked, instead I will make sure dogs that are home alone are offered a short toilet break if required.
