THE BALL THROWER 🎾

A huge bugbear of mine.

We’ve all seen that dog.

Tongue hanging out. White spit around its mouth. Completely wiped out. Eyes on stalks. Yet still staring desperately at the ball waiting for you to throw it again.

That’s not a dog simply “loving his ball”. He’s highly aroused, completely fixated and caught in a repetitive cycle that we’ve helped create.

We throw. He chases. He brings it back. We throw again. And again. And again.

The dog learns that this is the game we want to play and becomes incredibly driven to keep it going long after his body could really do with stopping.

Meanwhile he’s repeatedly sprinting, twisting, braking and turning at speed, often completely oblivious to what his body is telling him.

I’m not anti-ball. Throw it occasionally.
And when your dog is exhausted but still demanding *just one more throw*, don’t mistake that intensity for enjoyment.

Sometimes the kindest thing we can do is say **that’s enough**.

**Leave the ball thrower at home — or even better, put it in the bin. 🎾🗑️**

Having a few days off this week to enjoy the good weather & spend some quality time with my hairy weans❣️

Still continuing with all my D.I.Y. & my friends from Dryfusion have been round to give the driveway a good clean.What a fantabulous job they do!!

Despite my absence at the coal face, I'm still available to answer all of your messages.
A couple of my customers dogs had major surgery this week. Thinking of you all. I hope all went well, and wishing them a speedy recovery 🥰

We are now more than have way through the school holidays. Only 20 more days to go.

As the weather was so grim at the weekend I decided to give the salon a bit of a make over. It was completely gutted with a fresh lick of paint and a few new additions on the wall. Its looking pretty braw😘

I think the majority of you have now block booked until the end of the year. Please remember I now only work on a part time basis so appointments are limited. It is always advantageous to book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Open again tomorrow business as usual. Looking forward to seeing you all✂️✂️✂️

Important Information Please Read👀

Last month 7 customers failed to attend their appointment 😪.
All 7 customers have now paid me in full 🙂

Thank you all for your payments and for respecting me and my wee business. It means so much😘

As I am self employed I don't get paid if you cancel your appointment at short notice or don't show up. If everybody hadn't paid, through no fault of my own, I would have have been a good few £100 out of pocket. How would you feel if that happened to you on pay day?

Just a polite reminder to let everybody know if you cancel your appointment with less than 48hrs notice or fail to attend, regardless of your excuse, you will be required to pay for your missed appointment in full before another appointment can be booked.

Thank you all for your understanding and I hope you all have a fantabulous time on your summer holidays 😎.
