We’re Getting a wide range of training and behaviour enquiries.

Our behavioural dog trainer Briony Lazarides

An original founder member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers in 1993, Briony has over 35 years wide ranging practical and highly qualified experience with all sizes, ages and breeds of dogs and every type of issue.
So you and your furry friend can relax here in a safe environment while the best way forward is discussed.
Assessment Pricing is £25 for 30 minutes or £45 for 60 minutes plus The Bark Parks ‘play session’ fee.

To access,

1. First check Briony’s availability directly by contacting her on 07975913105

2. Book as a Play Session the normal way to hire the Bark Park

3. Pay the assessment fee to Briony by BACS and text her to confirm your booking once you have booked the park.

Both steps are essential to confirm the appointment

A pre visit questionnaire will be sent out by Briony once payment has been received.

Please note:
If your dog’s problem includes dog-dog or dog-human interaction difficulties, let us know so that we ensure previous clients have
vacated reception before you enter.

Briony also does work privately including full two hour initial behavioural
Assessment and advice meetings in clients’ homes but we have secured a preferential price for this Bark Park service. 🐾❤️

We found this on another page but feel it is very important to share as a locally licensed daycare facility. 🐾❤️

With the rise in local pet businesses having dogs stay in their homes/premises and not having a license, we just want to make people aware of the following:

Many owners are not aware that any cat or dog boarding facility whether that is kennels, dog day care centres or home boarders must hold an in date license in order to operate a business.

⚠️ Dog Owners – Licensing Matters More Than You Think ⚠️

When choosing a dog/ cat boarding facility, licensing isn’t just a formality — it’s your pets protection.

In the UK, licensed dog boarding providers must meet strict standards set by local councils. This includes welfare checks, safe environments, proper staffing, and emergency procedures. If a facility isn’t licensed, there’s no guarantee your dog is being cared for properly and it also means their insurance is void and you must foot the bill for any damages caused to your pet.

🐾 Why licensing is so important:

* ✔️ Welfare Standards: Licensed facilities must provide adequate space, clean conditions, proper exercise, and enrichment
* ✔️ Health & Safety: They’re required to manage risks, prevent disease spread, and handle emergencies responsibly
* ✔️ Regular Inspections: Councils carry out checks to ensure ongoing compliance
* ✔️ Accountability: If something goes wrong, there’s a clear authority to report to

🚫 Unlicensed = Unregulated
Without a licence, a provider may:

* Operate in unsafe or overcrowded conditions
* Lack experience or training
* Have no insurance or emergency plan
* Avoid inspections entirely

🐕 What you should do:

* Ask to see their licence (and check it’s valid)
* Look up their rating with your local council
* Visit the premises yourself before booking
* Don’t be swayed by cheap prices or nice photos alone
Read real reviews and not just going by recommendations on social media- do your own research to see if it is the right fit for your dog.

Your dog’s safety isn’t worth the risk. Choosing a licensed provider helps ensure they’re cared for in a safe, regulated, and responsible environment🐶🐱🐾

🐾❤️ COMPETITION TIME AGAIN! 🐾❤️

To say thank you for everyone’s love and support we have decided to run another competition for an hours play park session for up to 5 dogs. Like, share and comment your dogs names (add a photo too if you can) and once we reach 750 followers we will pick a winner. Remember that along with the play park, we still have places available for doggy daycare, training classes and our dog self wash facilities. We’ve had a great week at The Bark Park with our new and regular daycare visitors. We became a Kennel Club recognised training venue and held our first training class on Thursday evening for which we still have spaces if anyone is interested. We also had a visit from a scent work trainer interested in using our facilities so watch this space for more information. Whilst we have had busy week we do still have daycare space available too. Full or half days. Regular, occasional or one off so just drop us a message for more information. 🐾❤️
