These to lovely rescued fluffsters were the first clients of a TMPDumfries New Service; training/behaviour need Assessment Sessions at the Bark Park for new TMP clients.
Available various days and times by arrangement.
This gives owners scope to book slots from just 30minutes to share their concerns, get a little 'first aid' advice once I've met their dog/s, and together look at realistic aims and outcomes to work towards. Whether that is in group sessions, home visits, or using the Bark Park Daycare for their dog's social development. We're starting Classes at The Bark Park on Thursdays for young pups as soon a vet says they can attend, 6-7p.m. And for pups 5-9 months from 7-8pm. . KC Good Citizen Scheme Puppy Foundation Syllabus will be included. Max 6 per class, one handler per dog. The syllabus will roll-on roll-off subject to space. There will be sessions 10/17 Sept, but not 24/1 Oct. then from 8 Oct they will run again. So booking to start 10 Sept you get training right u to 29 October. CALLING ALL PUPPY OWNERS. We have been in discussions with a local qualified dog trainer and behaviourist regarding the possibility of offering a block of puppy training classes. These would include a one hour evening session for an initial 6 week block (more can be arranged if needed) at The Bark Park. If you would be interested in attending then please drop us a message. In addition if anyone has any behaviour or training issues with their dog they would like to work on we are looking at the possibility of offering training workshops concentrating on specific problems you may be having! 🐾 ♥

Same in UK regarding regulation. Although many of us study/have qualifications, some well known 'names' and even TV dog training personalities don't. Be careful!

⚠️RECALL ALERT: YEARS RECALLS ALL FRESH DOG MEALS⚠️

Years has announced a voluntary recall of all Years fresh dog meals with immediate effect.

The decision follows a growing number of reports of dogs developing sudden bilateral dry eye (keratoconjunctivitis sicca, or KCS) whilst fed the food.

According to Years, its investigation has identified a potential link with buckwheat, an ingredient used in all of its fresh meals since the start of this year.

If you currently feed Years
Stop feeding all Years fresh meals immediately.
Do not feed the meals to any other animal.
Follow Years' guidance regarding the recall, refunds and collection of unused food.

Symptoms to watch for
If your dog displays any of the following symptoms, contact your veterinary surgeon as soon as possible. Early diagnosis and treatment can significantly reduce the risk of permanent damage.

Redness or inflammation of the eyes
Thick eye discharge
Frequent blinking or squinting
Pawing or rubbing at the eyes
A dull, cloudy or dry appearance to the eye surface
