💚 WHAT A BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND! 💚

What a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend we’ve had here at Proteus! 🥳🐍🦎

Not one, not two, but FIVE of our reptiles have found their forever homes! 🏡💚

And amongst all those happy endings, we had one rehoming that was particularly special…

After being with us since 2017, our gorgeous Hendrix the Boa has finally found her human! 🥹🐍❤️

Meet Cassie! 💚

After almost nine years in rescue, seeing Hendrix finally head off to start her new life with Cassie is something we are absolutely over the moon about. Some reptiles just take a little longer to find the right person, and we couldn’t be happier that Hendrix’s wait was finally worth it. 🥹🏡

But Hendrix wasn’t the only one starting a brand-new chapter this weekend!

🐍 Eclipse, our Royal Python who has been with us since 2024, has found their forever home.

🌈 Irridessa, our beautiful Brazilian Rainbow Boa, has also headed off to her new family.

🦎 Rambo, our Bearded Dragon, has found his forever home.

🦎 Fae, our Leopard Gecko, has also found her happily ever after.

Five reptiles. Five forever homes. Five brand-new chapters. 💚

We are incredibly grateful to all of the wonderful families who chose to adopt from Proteus. By adopting a rescue, you’re not just bringing an animal home, you’re giving them the chance to leave their rescue story behind and begin a new one. ❤️

And to all of our amazing supporters, thank you! Every share, recommendation, comment and conversation helps spread the word about the reptiles waiting for homes and the work we do here at Proteus.

💚 A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU! 💚

We wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to Cold Blooded LTD for choosing Proteus Reptile Trust as their charity for their fundraising event this weekend. 🐍🦎

We are absolutely delighted to share that they raised an incredible £260.74 for Proteus! 🎉💚

It sounds like everyone had a fantastic day, with face painting, reptile feeding and handling sessions, a giveaway and plenty of fun along the way! 🎨🐍🎁

A massive thank you to everyone at Cold Blooded Ltd for putting the event together and choosing to support Proteus, and to everyone who came along, took part and helped raise this amazing amount.

£260.74 will make a real difference to the reptiles in our care, helping us provide the food, veterinary care, equipment and everything else they need while they wait for their forever homes. 🐢🐍🦎
