We had a great time this afternoon when Veterinary Physiotherapists Sarah and Katie from Sarah Edge Chartered Physiotherapist and ACPAT Physiotherapist popped in for a learning session with our team about how we can best work together for the benefit of our patients.

Many of the pets we see struggle with chronic pain, or need help rehabilitating from surgery and we often collaborate closely with Sarah and Katie to make sure they have the best possible quality of life and post-operative outcomes!

Team work makes the dream work!

🎉 Well Done Dylan! 🎉

Poor Dylan had previously hurt his back meaning that he had to have strict rest and this lead to some weight gain. When Dylan first came to see us he weighed in at 14.9kg, with a body condition score of 7/9. He had been put on a diet at home which had resulted in him losing a couple of kilos already, but Dylan was hungry. Following an incident with a stolen cabbage his Mum came to us for some help!

We booked Dylan in with nurse Sam to create a plan to get his waistline back without Dylan feeling so hungry. We selected a weight loss diet and created a feeding plan just for him. His plan included a mix of wet and dry food and even some treats.

Fast forward just four months and Dylan now weighs a fantastic 12.6kg and his body condition score is now a very healthy 4/9. Doesn’t he look amazing?!
We are going to keep a close eye on his lovely new figure while we readjust Dylan’s feeding plan.

Worried about your pets weight? Speak to our nurses. They’ll be happy to check body condition score and our scales in reception are always available for you to pop in and use.

Today we had a celebrity in the building!

Errol came for his vaccines but earlier this week he was at the Houses of Parliament as a finalist in the School Dog of the Year!

He and his mum go into schools every week and help children feel more relaxed and confident about being in lessons. ❤️❤️❤️

Oscar is a patient of ours and he has gone missing in Dronfield today.

He is a Corgi crossed with Border Collie. He looks like a Border Collie with little legs!

He can be shy, so please don’t attempt to catch him but do let his family know by finding their posts on the local Dronfield pages or sharing your sightings.

Together we can get him home!
