🐾 Safety Notice 🐾...please read!!!!

With temperatures soaring across Northern Ireland, we are officially pausing all outdoor walks.

There is a common misconception that once the sun starts to go down in the evening, it is automatically safe to head out. It isn't. Tarmac and concrete absorb heat all day long and act like radiators, retaining those scorching temperatures long into the night.
If you want to walk your own dog in this heat, that is your gamble to take. We will not.

The 7-Second Rule: If you cannot press the back of your hand flat against the pavement for 7 full seconds without it hurting, it is too hot for a dog's paws. At 24°C or 25°C air temperature, the asphalt can easily exceed 50°C. That is hot enough to blister and destroy their paw pads in seconds.

Heatstroke Risks: Dogs cannot sweat to cool down like we do. Forcing them to exert themselves in this weather—even "just for a quick run"—is a direct ticket to heatstroke, which can be fatal.

What we are doing instead:
For all dogs in our care, walks will be swapped for indoor air-conditioned enrichment. We will be focusing on food puzzles, snuffle mats and frozen kongs etc. Mental stimulation tires dogs just as much as a walk, with zero percent of the danger.

We love your dogs too much to take a gamble with their lives.
This is a non-negotiable safety policy, let’s get through this heatwave safely.

Handsome brown eyed boy Monty came back in on his holidays and was just the best boy!! Monty loves the company of his pawfriends but equally is a big suck who loves nothing more than just one-on-one cuddles and scooby snacks 🤣 which is my favourite part too. 💙🐾💋

Handsome boy Milo was back in on holiday and i love how he just comes straight back in and settles like a pro 🥰. Milo just loves everyone and is the sweetest wee man.
