🌧️ After a week of horrendous wet weather… THANK GOODNESS FOR OUR INDOOR ARENA! 🙌🐴

While the rain keeps coming and the fields turn to mud, we’re very grateful to have somewhere dry to work, learn and spend quality time with our horses.

Not sure what we’d do without it this week! 😂❤️

One very thankful equestrian at Dodderhill! 🐴☔

Weaning time… or not? 🤔🐴

This year, as I plan on keeping Coco, I’ve decided to let her stay with Poppy over winter and allow weaning to happen naturally within the herd. ❤️

Coco is thriving, making friends and still enjoying the occasional feed from Mum. With Poppy being a very good doer and the grass so lush, continued suckling may also help manage her weight, alongside monitoring her condition.

Sometimes, there’s no need to rush nature! 🌿

Thankfully, as Coco is a filly, I have a little more flexibility with timing.

What are your experiences of natural weaning? 🐴

🥶🌧️ WINTER HAS ARRIVED! 🐴😂

And just like that, the sexy, muddy, wet and unkept look is BACK IN FASHION! 🤣

Showers? ❌
Mud masks? ✅
Freshly washed hair? ❌
Designer mud boots? ✅
Looking like you've lost a fight with a bog? ABSOLUTELY! 😂

Who needs a spa day when you can live at Dodderhill? 💁‍♀️🐴

Mud is our glitter. Hay is our haute couture. And looking homeless is our winter aesthetic! 🤣🤎
