Mo's Story πŸ’™

Mo was having difficulty urinating and was dripping, rather than fully emptying his bladder. Vet Kelly discovered that his hole was a little too small for his urine to come out efficiently. Kelly managed to carry out a successful circumcision for him, and he no longer struggles. We are so happy that he is healing well and back to being a cheeky little kitten 🐱

Between June – August 2026 (92 days) we had a total of x95 grass seed cases!!

Most common day for grass seeds to be removed - Tuesday.

The most common location for a grass seed to be found – Ear > Paw > Eye

Weirdest place for a grass seed to be found – V***a, Stomach wall

Common breed affected – Cocker spaniel> Springer Spaniel >Cocker Crosses

Male and Female dogs are affected equally.

🌟 Congratulations to our vet Briony, who removed the most grass seeds this year 🌟

We are recieving a lot of calls and are aware of growing concern locally regarding parvovirus in dogs.

We would like to reassure our clients that we have not recently had any dogs diagnosed with parvovirus admitted to any of our practices.

Please make sure your dog’s vaccinations are fully up to date. While vaccination does not provide 100% protection, it significantly reduces the risk of your dog contracting parvovirus and can help reduce the severity of illness if infection does occur. We also advise that you keep dogs on leads in public spaces and to avoid socialising with dogs that are unknown to you.

If you are concerned that your dog may have parvovirus, please call us before bringing them into the practice. This allows us to take the necessary precautions to help prevent the spread of this highly contagious disease to other dogs.

Thank you for helping us keep our patients safe. 🐾

Last week came to stay for the day with us at our Droitwich practice, to have her spay carried out by Jade. Her procedure went well and she has recovered remarkably! Dottie was a delight to look after, she particularly enjoyed snuggling up in her crate with toys and blankets and being fussed over. Safe to say all the staff fell in love with her 🩷🐷
