Morning everyone,

The weather is not being my friend today at all, my plan was to be out early before the heat came but with this thunderstorm it’s delaying me a little as not the safest to be in wooded areas plus I don’t want the dogs to be scared. It’s due to pass soon so hopefully I will be out but please be aware walks maybe cut short if the thunder persists or starts again and I feel it isn’t safe!

Evening everyone,

Tomorrow the weather is looking hot again 🥵

I’ll be starting my day earlier to try and avoid the main midday heat, but I will be monitoring temperatures throughout the day.

Walks will be in shaded areas where possible and may be shortened and finished as a garden/home visit, or in some cases changed to a complete garden/house visit instead.

The dog’s welfare will always be my priority. Once this heat passes and the rain returns next week, we’ll be back to getting our steps in! 🐾

It’s been another lovely week of dog walks and getting plenty of steps and sniffing in, just a reminder I’m now off until Tuesday as away for my brother in laws wedding!

Next week is looking hot 🥵 which is great for us but not the doggos, I will be monitoring the weather and my plan as always will be early walks with as much shade as possible but then switching to garden visits once I feel it’s too hot for them!

Thank you to everyone for the well wishes for Teddy, he’s had a great week away with us recovering in the Peak District! He’s still got a little way to go but on Tuesday we went away with him not eating and barely able to walk or stand and we’ve come back today with him eating so much better and walking, his new nickname is wonky donkey as he’s very wobbly and still has a head tilt but I’m so pleased with the progress he’s made 😊
