❤️ Day Two of our big piggy introductions! ❤️

On Sunday, we introduced the first three of the 17 piggies who have been enjoying their quarantine time together, and today it was the turn of Smudge, aged 3, Bambi, aged 1, and Pepper, aged 1. 🥰

We’re taking things slowly and introducing three piggies every other day, giving each new group a full day to settle, explore and get used to their new surroundings before the next three join them. We want this to be as calm and stress-free as possible for everyone. ❤️

These three have spent their quarantine together, as they all came from the same previous herd, so they already know each other really well. They’ve also had the perfect opportunity to get used to life at PiggybankSanctuary, living up on the top shelf where they could see, hear and smell the existing herd every day. 👀🐹

But today was the day they finally got to come down and experience it all for themselves…

Those first few steps into a new environment are always so special to watch. A little nervousness, lots of sniffing, plenty of exploring — and, of course, that inevitable moment where they seem to think, “Right… so where’s the food?” 😂🐹

We’ll give them tomorrow to settle in before another three join them on Thursday.

Slowly but surely, this little group of 17 is finding their place, meeting new friends and becoming part of the PiggybankSanctuary family. ❤️

We can’t wait to see how their stories unfold. 🥹🐹

It’s time for another Release the Piggies video! 🎥💗

Today is another exciting day at Piggybanksanctuary, as we’ll be adding the lovely Pepper, Bambi and Smudge to the herd. 🐹❤️

But first, it’s dinner time! 🥬 We always wait for our existing herd to settle down and get stuck into their meal before we begin the introductions.

So… who came racing through the piggy door first today? 👀🐹💨

Followed closely by Lyla and Willow! ❤️

There’s always something so exciting about seeing who appears through that little door first — and it’s often our more confident, higher-ranking piggies leading the charge! 👑🐹

But the excitement isn’t over yet… 👀

Say hello to three beautiful members of our newest herd! 🥰

First through the piggy door is beautiful Pops, a gorgeous Swiss who is 2 years old. 💕 Following closely behind is Harley, aged 3, who looks so much like our beautiful late Val, who sadly passed away last year. 💔

Harley is deaf in one ear due to a benign lump inside her ear, but that certainly doesn't stop her from enjoying life and being part of the herd. 🥰

And last but certainly not least is beautiful Bramble, another gorgeous 2-year-old! 🌿💕

All three are part of the 17 guinea pigs we recently welcomed into Piggybanksanctuary. They have now completed their quarantine, and we absolutely cannot wait to watch them settle in, find their friends and discover their place within the herd. 🥹🐹💕

And we're not finished yet… 👀

Another 3 quarantine piggies will be joining the herd on Tuesday! 🎉

So keep watching — there are plenty more piggy introductions to come! 🐹💕
