Meet Bobby💙

Bobby started hydrotherapy as part of his conservative management plan for bilateral cruciate ligament ruptures.

Hydrotherapy provides a controlled environment, allowing Bobby to exercise while reducing the amount of weight and strain placed through his joints. Hydrotherapy is also a brilliant low-impact exercise which helps to build muscle!

Bobby is already working hard in the pool, and we love supporting him throughout his rehabilitation journey! 🤩

Charlie is a 12-year-old Staffy who has recently started his hydrotherapy journey with us to help manage his arthritis. 💙

As dogs get older, arthritis can make everyday movement more difficult and uncomfortable. Hydrotherapy provides a gentle, low-impact way to exercise, allowing dogs to move and strengthen their muscles without putting as much stress on painful joints.🐾

For senior dogs like Charlie, keeping active in a controlled and supportive environment can make a real difference. We’re so pleased to have him with us and look forward to seeing his confidence and strength develop as he progresses. 🥰

Meet Rosie 🐶

At just 5 months old, Rosie had her very first hydrotherapy session with us! 💖

As a growing Mastiff, she's already an impressive 37kg and still has lots more growing to do! During these rapid growth stages, hydrotherapy is a fantastic way to keep young, large-breed dogs active while providing gentle, low-impact exercise that supports developing joints and eases growing muscles. 💪

We're looking forward to watching Rosie grow whilst helping her stay happy and healthy! 🥰

Meet Samson💙

Samson has started attending hydrotherapy sessions due to his elbow dysplasia. His owner was initially a bit hesitant about hydrotherapy because Samson was very nervous around water.

Fast forward to today, and we couldn't be prouder of this amazing boy! With patience, gentle encouragement, and sessions tailored to his needs, Samson has grown in confidence every visit. Not only is he coping brilliantly with the water, but he's also feeling the benefits after each session, moving much more comfortably. 🤩

Every dog progresses at their own pace, and Samson is a wonderful reminder that taking things one step at a time can make all the difference.🥰

Meet Charlie💙

Charlie is a 4-year-old Boxer who visits Waves for fun and fitness hydrotherapy sessions! 🐾

Hydrotherapy is a great way to keep dogs active, providing a low-impact form of exercise that supports strength and mobility whilst providing plenty of mental stimulation. Best of all, it's a fun way to burn energy and build confidence in the water! 🤩

Happy 15th birthday Reuben!🥳🎉

Reuben is a regular face at the centre and he absolutely loves his hydrotherapy sessions! He has arthritis so swimming helps keep his joints moving, supporting his mobility and keeping him comfortable so he can continue enjoying life to the fullest.💙

This happy girl is a regular face at Waves, she attends hydrotherapy to help manage elbow dysplasia. 💜

Elbow dysplasia is an orthopaedic condition where the bones and cartilage in the elbow joint don't fit together properly. Over time, this can cause pain, stiffness, inflammation, and arthritis if left untreated.

Hydrotherapy is a fantastic way to help dogs like Willow stay active and comfortable. The buoyancy of the water supports their body weight, reducing pressure on joints while allowing them to move more freely with full range of motion. 🐕🐾

Lola began her hydrotherapy journey with us following a left elbow arthroscopy, using hydrotherapy as part of her rehabilitation and recovery. 🐾

When she first started her sessions, she was experiencing left forelimb lameness and would often become stiff after longer walks. Through a tailored hydrotherapy programme, we focused on improving her strength, mobility, and comfort.

We're delighted to say that Lola has now progressed to maintenance sessions and is no longer showing any signs of lameness! 🤩

It's been fantastic to watch her confidence and mobility improve, and we're so proud of everything she's achieved. 💖

At 9 years old, this handsome little man has recently started his hydrotherapy journey with us to help manage his osteoarthritis.

Marley came in for his initial assessment last week and was an absolute superstar - He took everything in his stride, and we're so proud of him! 🌟

Hydrotherapy is a fantastic way to support dogs with osteoarthritis by building strength, reducing pain, and helping them stay mobile and comfortable.

We can't wait to watch Marley grow in confidence and follow his progress!🤩

Trigger and Ace

These handsome boys attend regular hydrotherapy sessions to help keep them feeling their very best and performing at their peak. 💙

Trigger and Ace absolutely love their time in the pool, and one of their favourite parts of each session is enjoying a relaxing massage in the warm water! 🐾

They're always a pleasure to have in the centre, and we look forward to seeing them for their regular swims.⭐️
