The future of our club 🥲
It came to light yesterday that the parish hall committee have had a few complaints about the hall constantly smelling of dogs and dog hair.
I meet with Chris this morning and had a discussion.
As you all know they have spent money on having the toilets refurbished etc.
They are planning on redecorating etc as they need more bookings.
So basically he wants the hall mats replaced as he and others think that is what is causing most of the doggy smell. Plus the mats to be hoovered every week to reduce dog hair.
So where do I go from here? Those mats 20 years ago cost £400. Yes I agree they do need replacing.
I said I would get some quotes but I honestly think I looking at £800 plus with the VAT delivery etc.
Yes that is part and parcel of running a business, but with loosing at least 12 weeks of the summer due to works, increase of my insurance, etc I am struggling to make it viable.
I also asked if the hall rent will go up which he replied not at the minute, but possibly next year.
So have a think 🤔 I will get some quotes for flooring but need to measure first.
Feeling totally deflated at the minute as well as not feeling myself
So where do we go from here .
