On Sunday, we did a thing… and what a day it was! 🐾

Dorchester Ringcraft Training had the pleasure of running the Pedigree and Novelty Dog Show at Buckham Fair, brilliantly organised by one of our senior team members through a long-standing local contact.

We really didn’t know what to expect. We’d been told there would be plenty of people… and they certainly weren’t wrong! The showground was buzzing with dogs, owners and spectators, and it was fantastic to see so many people showing a genuine interest in getting involved in the world of dog showing.

We even had the pleasure of meeting the main man himself, Martin Clunes!

To top it all off, we’ve received a lovely letter of thanks recognising the success of the event and the money raised for the Dorchester Hospital’s new extension appeal. We’re incredibly proud to have been a small part of such a worthwhile cause.

A huge thank you to our fantastic team who gave up their Sunday to help. You were all brilliant, and as always, you represented our club with enthusiasm, kindness and a smile.

If you’ve ever thought about showing your dog, why not come along and give us a try? We meet every week in Crossways, near Dorchester, and welcome everyone—from complete beginners who have never stepped into a ring, right through to experienced exhibitors and Championship Show judges.

Ringcraft isn’t just about learning how to show your dog. It’s about building confidence, socialising your dog, making friends, sharing knowledge and enjoying the journey together.

No politics. No hostility. No egos.

Just good people, great dogs and plenty of laughs.
