The Small Pet Inn - West Moors We offer home from home small pet boarding, based in West Moors. We look after a range of small animals and have secure purpose built housing for them.

Entrusting our own much loved pets with someone is what inspired us to set up The Small Pet Inn.

The Small Pet Inn - West Moors, is now offering home visits for pets that would find it more comfortable staying in their own home.

Covering West Moors, Ferndown, Verwood, Ringwood and surrounding areas.

Home visits can be suitable for cats, small pets, and chickens, to offer usual routine, companionship, litter changes and medication support.

I’m also more than happy to help with other duties for a secure home, such as putting bins in and out, bringing in post and watering plants.
DBS checked and fully insured.

I found a couple of these wicker bowls / trays in a charity shop for a couple of pounds, and knew exactly what I could use them for.. rabbit forage trays.
Trialled with my two beautiful models Peanut & Bun 🐰
In here is orchard hay, dandelion roots, mixed flower and herb forage and a tea spoon of burgess excel nuggets. 🌿🌺🌼
There are lots of ways to enrich our pets lives, and I’m always looking for things to be able to use.
Tissue boxes, toilet rolls and egg boxes are just a few things that can all be used to make forage trays too!

Stocked up on some more cooling pads and cooling pods for our own animals and guests. The cooling pads can be cooled in cold water or in the fridge 30mins prior to use (best for dogs).
The cooling pods get popped in the freezer over night and used during the day (best for small pets).
*cooling mats can be chewed by small furries, so probably best to stick to the pods for them.

With temperatures rising (again), please ensure your pets are comfortable and staying cool.
We’ve been managing well here with our lovely guests, we have the windows open when it’s cooler outside, then shut all the windows, doors and blinds to keep the cool air in, which has really worked.
Fresh veggies and herbs kept in the fridge for refreshing snacks throughout the day.
We’ve also been changing their water bottles / bowls multiple times a day (no one likes warm water!)
If you’ve got pets outside in a secure run, it’s great to pop something light on top to reflect the sun and keep them in the shade, but keep the sides open to allow air flow.
Also, if you have a spare dish to pop out for wildlife, I’m sure they would be very grateful 🦔 🦊 🦡 🐝
Let’s hope it becomes more ambient in the next few weeks 🥰 ☀️
