Dogs in Need Dogs in Need is a registered charity which re-homes dogs no longer required by their present owners, or are in pounds and in desperate need of homes.

Re-homing in the Southern home counties. Operating largely in the Southern Counties, we seek to place unwanted dogs in suitable new homes, currently homing an average of 3 to 4 dogs per week. Dogs come to us in two ways. Their present owners choose to contact us because they no longer wish to keep their dog, typical causes being illness, emigration, marriage break-up, the dog's behavioural problem

s (often because the owners work and leave the dog alone), allergies and even the imminent arrival of a baby. We also take dogs from Pounds in areas with major stray problems, particularly Eire.

🥺 Jamie 🥹

Jamie has been in rescue since October 2024, almost 2 YEARS! 😭😭

We don't know why he hasn't caught somebody's eye as of yet but we'll keep trying and hopefully get this deserving boy into his forever home soon.

He is a 3.5 year-old Brindle Lurcher with gorgeous colouring and the cutest floppy ears.

Jamie is a little goofy and excitable, he loves people and has had a couple of female kennel mates in his time so could live with another, preferably calm and confident dog.

He loves to go for a walk and is great on a lead, he also enjoys going out in the car as he is a curious boy who loves looking out the window. He likes playing with his toys - he loves pretty much any type of toy - and lazing about once he's done with them for a while.

🐾No cats / small furries

He is vaccinated, treated for parasites, castrated, microchipped and has his own passport.

Molly came from the pound.

She is 9 years young but doesn’t act her age at all and is a lively, playful dog who doesn’t deserve to be in rescue at this stage of her life.

She loves people and is an affectionate sweetheart who could live with another dog but would happily be an only dog and lap up all the attention in the household.

She’s great on a lead, loves her walks and travels in the car. She would be a great family pet and an equally great companion for an older person / couple.

GLADYS approximately 18 month old female large mixed breed looking for her forever home.
Gladys loves her toys and treats and is very friendly. She is not bothered by other dogs. Gladys could live with a non reactive male dog following a couple of meets. Gladys could not live with cats.
