🐾 Student Veterinary Nurse Apprentice Wanted 🐾
📍 Orchard Vets, Glastonbury | Full-Time | To start college in September
We have an exciting opportunity for a Student Veterinary Nurse Apprentice to join our friendly, independent practice!
You’ll become part of a supportive team of 8 nurses, 6 vets, and 7 administrative staff, gaining hands-on experience while working towards your veterinary nursing qualification.
What we’re looking for:
• A motivated and dedicated individual with a passion for animal care
• Reliable, enthusiastic, and keen to learn
• Eligible to enrol on a Veterinary Nurse Apprenticeship ( a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C (or 9-4), including English Language, Mathematics and a Science are required)
• Previous animal care or veterinary experience is desirable but not essential
The role:
• Full-time position
• Includes some weekend and out-of-hours work once sufficient training has been provided
This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in veterinary nursing within a supportive and experienced team.

Well now, by popular call from the folks ‘round these parts, our LSVN OSCE guidance day for clinical supervisors is ridin’ back into town. Last time we held this gatherin’, late in the year of 2025, it was a mighty fine success—so much so that learners have been hittin’ top marks in their OSCEs ever since.
If you’ve got a learner fixin’ to face their OSCEs in the next twelve months, you’d best not let this here CPD day pass you by. It’s your chance to stay sharp and well-prepared in your trainin’ duties.
We’ll be diggin’ deep into a handful of core tasks, along with sharin’ some golden nuggets on wrestlin’ down exam nerves, plannin’ revisions, givin’ feedback that sticks, and plenty more besides.
And don’t you worry ‘bout goin’ hungry or parched—we’ll keep you well fed from sunup to sundown, with a full spread laid out and enough tea and coffee to keep your cup filled all day long. 🤠

Congratulations Chrissie, so proud of you 💚

This month is Vet Nurse awareness month and yes, we have an amazing team of nurses at Ashworth Vets!
Sara, Nicky, Fran, Karen, Phili, Gemma, Claire, Rachel, Tasj, Jo, Jess, Anna, Chloe, Kerry & Emily.
However we also want to take this opportunity to acknowledge our two amazing Animal Care assistant's Kayleigh and Christina. You are both fantastic in your roles and supporting the nurse teams.
Christina has just passed her ACA exams after completing a year with Lynwood School of Veterinary Nursing. Chrissie worked very hard for this certification and her final observed assessment and oral questions took over 3hrs. Huge congratulations Chrissie. A very well deserved achievement. 😍🤩🥳
