🦙 Work Experience Placements 2026–27 🐴🐰
Are you a college student looking for a work experience placement for your Animal Care or Livestock course?
Happyard is an alpaca farm just outside Dorchester, where we care for alpacas alongside a variety of other animals, including horses, guinea pigs and rabbits.
We’re looking for caring, reliable and hardworking students who have a genuine interest in animals and want to gain hands-on experience in a busy working animal environment.
Your placement day will run from 9:30am–3:30pm, with day-to-day duties including:
🦙 Feeding and providing hay
💧 Ensuring animals have fresh water
🐴 General animal care and welfare
🧹 General farm duties and keeping animal areas clean and tidy
❤️ Helping with the everyday care and needs of our animals
Our placements are ideal for students studying Animal Care, Livestock or other related courses, and are a great opportunity to gain practical experience and develop your confidence working with animals.
📅 Interviews will begin from mid-September 2026.
