We have sadly had a deceased entire male cat handed into our practice.

He is black with white markings and does not have a microchip. He was found in Citton Lane, Litton Cheney.

Meet Winola! 🌼

Winola is a guide dog puppy and was brought in by her dedicated trainer for her regular veterinary health checks.

These routine visits ensure she is in tip-top shape, healthy, and happy as she prepares to move on to her next exciting stage of official training.

From practicing her calm clinic manners in our secure reception to getting her paws on our scales, Winona was an absolute superstar. It is a true privilege for our team to play a small part in supporting these future life-changers on their journey to helping someone with sight loss.

We’ve had a male black and white kitten handed in to us. He was found in Chetnole.

We’ve also had a tortoise handed into us who was found in the Weymouth.

Neither of them have microchips

They may no longer walk by our side, but they never truly leave our hearts. Today, we pause to remember, honor, and celebrate the beautiful lives of the pets we have loved and lost. 🐾

While he was healing and resting up, Kiarys completely took over nursing duties. This post-op cuddle session was just too precious not to share! 🐸❤️

We have sadly had a deceased black and white kitten handed into our practice.

She was found on Kings Road in Dorchester, and does not have a microchip unfortunately. We would say she is approximately 8-10 weeks old.

Say hi to Frog! 🐸 This good boy was recently recommended a professional scale and polish under general anaesthetic. But there is one crucial step included in his treatment plan that every pet parent should know about: Dental X-rays!

The outside doesn’t tell the whole story
Dental disease isn’t always obvious. A tooth can look clean and intact from above, but underneath?

There might be:
🦷 A cracked or fractured root
🪥deep tooth root abscess
🦷Bone loss from chronic gum disease
🪥Tooth resorption or root exposure

These conditions are painful, progressive, and often invisible without X-rays.

Finding these hidden problems while Frog is already safely under anesthesia means they can be treated immediately, preventing him from waking up with undetected, chronic pain.

Hannah has a huge heart for animals, both at home and across the globe. When she is not cuddling her two beloved dogs, Murphy and Rumour, she is busy protecting wildlife abroad!
Her passion for animal welfare has taken her all over the world, from rescuing street dogs and sea turtles in Sri Lanka, to volunteering at a wildlife conservation project in Namibia, and caring for elephants at a sanctuary in Thailand.
