Forever Home Friday ✨
This week is all about Tigger! This little man came to us after being seized from his previous owners. He was found with some other cats in unsuitable conditions and was quite skinny. 😓

It didn't take us too long to get him up to a suitable weight, and once our vets were happy, he was ready to find his new home! 🥰

That also didn't take long. His new owners fell in love with him straight away!
We have recently had an update on how he is getting on:
"He’s settled in really well and has made himself completely at home. He’s very cheeky, spends most of his time charging around the house or looking for attention, and has developed a habit of rubbing his head on us for fusses, usually at about 3am, which he seems to think is perfectly reasonable! 🤣

He’s getting on well with our other cat and his confidence has come on loads since we brought him home which is so lovely. He’s got absolutely no sense of stranger danger and makes himself known to any person that enters the house 🤣

Thanks again for everything you did for him."

We have a feeling this isn't the first post you have seen about kitten season, nor would it be the last. This year, there is a national crisis involving cats and kittens. 😓

So far this year, we have taken in 122 kittens. Many of them were born on the streets, and many others were from multi-cat households where their parents were left unneutered.

Now, we are not the only charity that is inundated with cats; every rescue up and down the country is too. We are all trying our absolute best to help as many little ones as we can, but there comes a point where there physically isn't enough manpower to help all the ones that need it. Every pen is full - including temporary accommodation; foster carers are full; we even have staff members taking animals home to try to accommodate as many as we possibly can. 💔

This takes an emotional toll on every animal rescue worker. We want to help, but it seems impossible. We will continue to do all we can to help as many as we can.

The main takeaway from this would be:
1️⃣Neuter your cats!
2⃣ Help your local rescue - even liking and sharing their posts gets their point seen.
3️⃣Last but not least, take it easy on rescue centres. They are trying their very best.

We are so happy that we have helped so many people add another member to their family. 🥰

We will see you the same time next month.👀

✨ Post-it - Domestic Short Hair - 1 Year - Female

Post-it was initially on the timid side and a little unsure of things, but soon realised she was safe and that fusses were actually really nice. Now we get lots of rolling about and headbutts.

Post-it did arrive at centre with Biro, so we are happy for them to be rehomed together, but this isn't essential as they're not a truly bonded pair. They like to spend time cuddling and spending time with each other, but do equally like their own space.

She is looking for a home to help her continue with confidence-building whilst settling into new environments with lots of time and patience.

✨ Angel - Sprocker Spaniel - 2 Years - Female

Meet our gorgeous girl Angel. This sweetheart, unfortunately, hasn't had the easiest start in life, but is now on the lookout for a loving home to call her own.
Angel is full of character - there really is never a dull moment with her around! Whether it's having a good sniff out on a walk, getting all snuggled up with you on the sofa, or getting you involved in a game of 'chase me!' whilst she proudly parades around with her favourite toy, it's immediately obvious this girl has an infectious and endearing zest for life.

You may recall Angel, as she was made available recently; however, we had to remove her due to medical issues that arose. She has had tests so that we know what we are working with. These tests have led to a diagnosis of hip dysplasia and luxating patella on one of her hind legs. Our vets are not currently concerned; however, we would need adopters to be aware that there could be a potential need for hip surgery at a later date if her condition worsens.

🏡 Could potentially live with another dog, pending a successful introduction

✨ Crystal - Greyhound - 4 Years - Female

Meet Crystal!
A beautiful ex-racing Greyhound with a heart full of love just waiting to be shared. When she first arrived with us, she was pretty under the weather and clearly hadn't received the care she deserved. She had pressure sores from her racing days, but with patience and lots of kindness, Crystal has blossomed into a much happier and more confident girl.

Crystal loves stretching her legs with some off-lead time in a secure area, where her playful side really shines. After a little adventure, she's more than happy to curl up in a cosy bed for a well-earned snooze and a cuddle.

🏡 Could potentially live with another dog, pending a successful introduction
👧 Any age children.

✨ Raven - Lurcher - 4 Years - Female

Raven has been patiently waiting for her forever home for over a year, and now this beautiful girl is finally ready for a fresh start.
Through no fault of her own, Raven came into our care as part of an ongoing cruelty case. Since then, she has shown us what a resilient and loving dog she can be, and we're excited that it's finally her time to find the family she deserves. Like many dogs who haven't had the best start in life, Raven is still learning the basics. She would benefit from continuing her training with simple commands and positive reinforcement. With consistency, patience, and reward-based training, we're confident she'll continue to make great progress.
Raven enjoys a good fuss and loves spending time with people she trusts. She also has a playful side and enjoys stretching her legs with a good run around. Once she's had her fun, she's more than happy to curl up in a cozy bed and enjoys a well-earned snooze.
Raven is looking for a home that understands she may need a little time and guidance, but in return you'll gain a loyal, affectionate companion who is ready to leave her past behind and embrace the future.

✨ Storm - Lurcher - 4 Years - Female

Through no fault of her own, Storm had been waiting far too long for her forever home. She came into our care over a year ago as part of a cruelty case, and after everything she has been through, she is finally ready to begin the next chapter of her life.

She is a larger-sized girl with a gentle, placid nature. Once she has had the chance to stretch her legs and enjoy a good run, she is more than happy to curl up in her bed and relax, making the most of a cozy afternoon.
After spending such a long time in kennels, we've noticed that she has become a little fed up and can sometimes seem unsure about going for walks. However, seeing other friendly dogs quickly brings her out of her shell. She absolutely loves the company of other dogs, and after a successful introduction, she enjoys playing, running about, and having fun. Those moments really brighten her day and show just how happy she can be. However, Storm doesn't have the best recall, so a secure field is preferred.

As she has missed out on some basics in life, she will need continued training in her new home. She doesn't yet know many basic commands, but she is eager to engage and would benefit from patient, positive reinforcement to help build her confidence and learn.

Storm is looking for a family who can see beyond her time in kennels and give her the love, understanding, and stability she deserves. With the right home, plenty of opportunities to run, and perhaps a friendly canine companion to enjoy life with, we know she has so much love and happiness to give.
