Beautiful Bella became unwell recently. Thankfully one of our lovely vets (Amy) quickly diagnosed that she had pyometra and performed life saving surgery. Our nurses took great care of Bella during recovery. We are pleased to report she is feeling much better now.

Pyometra is an infection of the womb and is common in entire bi***es, especially from middle age onwards. Prevention of pyometra is one of several reasons we recommend spaying females in almost all cases.

We take an individual approach to neutering at Two Counties and would be happy to discuss whether neutering is the right decision for your pet.

The grass seed season continues. Lester was a brave boy today and allowed us to retrieve not 1, but 3 grass awns from his ear! This most often requires sedation. Well done Lester. 🌟

Meet Carly, the stunning German Shepherd! 🐾🌟
Carly popped in to see us today for her annual health check and booster vaccinations. As you can see, she was an absolute superstar—those ears are always on high alert! 🐕💨
As we head into the busy summer holiday season, it’s a great time to remind everyone why staying up to date with vaccines is so important:
Year-round Protection: Boosters ensure your pet’s immunity stays strong against serious diseases like Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, and Distemper.
Holiday Ready: If you’re planning a getaway, most boarding kennels and doggy daycares require proof of up-to-date vaccinations (including Kennel Cough) before they can check in. 🏖️🏨
Community Health: Keeping your pet vaccinated helps protect the wider dog community by reducing the spread of infections.
Don’t wait until the last minute before your holiday! If you aren't sure when your pet's boosters are due, give us a call or check your vaccination card. We want all our furry friends to have a safe and healthy summer. ☀️🙏
Great job today, Carly! 🦴✨
