We have had a lovely day providing veterinary cover at the annual Sykehouse Show. We would like to thank the show committee for putting on a brilliant day and for looking after us so well!

The weather was perfect, the animals were immaculately turned out and the entertainment throughout the day was great.

It was also brilliant to see a lot of our clients showing off their horses!

We are looking forward to next year already.

As July draws to a close, we are asking for your best pictures for our August cover competition. As usual, rules are as follows;

- landscape photos only
- professional photos must be purchased - no large watermarks
- entrants must agree for their photos to be used in our socials

🐴Why Is the Vet Running Late?🐴

We know it can be frustrating when your appointment doesn't start on time, and we truly appreciate your patience when this happens. ❤️

Every day is different for our vets, and despite careful planning, there are times when delays are unavoidable. Here are just a few reasons why your vet may be running behind schedule:

🚗 Unexpected Traffic - While we allow plenty of travel time between visits, accidents, road closures, and temporary traffic lights can sometimes cause delays that are out of our control.

🚨 Emergency Cases - Just like a doctor's surgery, urgent cases occasionally arise that need immediate attention. When a horse needs emergency care, our vets may be diverted to assist.

🐴 Nervous or Anxious Patients - Some horses need a little extra time to feel comfortable and build trust with the vet. We never want to rush these appointments, as their wellbeing always comes first.

💊 Medication and Treatment Arrangements - Sometimes medications need to be ordered or organised during an appointment. This involves liaising with our office team to ensure everything is arranged as quickly and smoothly as possible.
