combining showjumping and cross-country style fences, this clinic is designed to help riders develop confidence, accuracy and control in a supportive and encouraging environment.

whether you're looking to gain confidence over a variety of fences, improve your riding between obstacles or prepare for future competitions, this clinic offers a fantastic opportunity to train with guidance from a BHS stage 4 coach.

hosted at our BHS and pony club approved centre, riders will benefit from expert coaching whilst enjoying a fun and educational day at orchard.

Our next summer event is the orchard animal adventure day.

designed for young animal lovers, this hands on day gives children the opportunity to spend time with our ponies, rabbits and guinea pigs whilst learning about animal care, welfare and handling in a fun and engaging environment.

from grooming ponies and making animal treats to meeting our smaller furry friends, this is the perfect day for children who love animals and want to learn more about caring for them.

Alongside our Equine Provision & The Orchard Reins & Roots Journey , The Orchard will also be expanding into Animal Care as part of our growing specialist pathways.

Next up is our BHS stage 1 preparation day with Eve Duggan.

Designed for riders looking to develop their horse care knowledge and practical skills, this training day provides an excellent introduction to the BHS stage 1 syllabus in a supportive and professional environment.

Whether you are preparing for assessment, considering a future career in the equine industry or simply wanting to expand your knowledge, this day offers valuable insight into the standards and expectations of the BHS pathway.

Hosted at our BHS approved centre, participants will benefit from expert guidance, practical learning and individual feedback throughout the day.

The Orchard Home Education Equine Programme 🌳🍎

September 2026 enrolment now open

The Orchard Equine College is pleased to offer a dedicated home education equine programme for young people aged 12+ with a genuine interest in Horses, Animal care and the equine industry.

Running every Monday during term time, learners will spend the day immersed in practical horse care, stable management and equine studies whilst working towards recognised qualifications.

Learners will work towards:

• City & guilds level 1 horse care
• BHS challenge awards

Programme information:

• Mondays during term time
• 10:00am - 3:00pm
• Ages 12+
• September 2026 start
• 38-week programme

Investment:

• £415 per month (including vat)
• payable monthly in advance from August to June
• Qualification and registration costs included

All applicants will attend an assessment session prior to enrolment to ensure the programme is suitable and that learners can safely participate within a group learning environment.

Please note that this programme is designed as a mainstream home education group. learners requiring specialist educational provision or significant additional support may be more appropriately supported through our specialist provision Programmes, accessed via school or local authority referral.

A perfect experience for younger Horse lovers, combining pony care, grooming, riding and a supervised hack in a safe, friendly and supportive environment.
