Hi guys as the weather gets wetter and the temperature stays mild, it’s the perfect weather for fleas 🦟
Here is a reminder of my flea policy, please check your dogs after every outing! Under the armpits, on their belly and back!

🌞 Hot Weather Reminder 🌞

With temperatures set to stay high until Friday, please do not walk your dog to their grooming appointment unless you have a 7am appointment.

Dogs regulate their body temperature through their paws and by panting. Walking on hot pavements not only makes it much harder for them to cool down, but the pavement can also burn their paw pads.

For your dog’s safety, I cannot groom a dog that arrives already overheating and excessively panting. Grooming is a physically demanding process, and I will refuse the appointment if I feel it is unsafe for your dog to continue.

Please bring your dog by car wherever possible.

If you’re unable to do this, just let me know and I’ll happily rearrange your appointment for a cooler day or time.

Your dog’s welfare will always come first. Thank you for understanding and helping keep them safe in this heat. ❤️

☀️ Hot weather ☀️

We are due a few hot days again next week (Tue-Thur) due to this I will be having to move some appointments to the following week & schedule 7am appointments to avoid the heat.

I know I’ve mentioned this many times before, and I’m sure most of my clients are aware of the risks of grooming in hot weather, especially when using high-powered dryers, so I won’t go over all of that again.

What I do ask is that you work with me and understand why I sometimes need to rearrange appointments. This summer has been incredibly challenging with the constant heat. To catch up after having to reschedule appointments, I’ve regularly been working 10–11 hour days, and it’s been exhausting but I always try my hardest to get everyone back in as soon as I am physically able.

I completely understand that rearranging appointments can be frustrating, but I’d much rather ask you to manage your dog’s coat at home for a little longer than put them at risk. Their safety and wellbeing will always come first.

Please also remember that this is my business. If something were to happen to a dog while in my care because of the heat, I would be responsible. I never want any dog to be put in that position, and I certainly don’t want that responsibility on my conscience.

It’s sad I have to say this but I won’t tolerate rudeness or disrespect when I’m making decisions to protect your dogs.
When I have to cancel or postpone appointments due to the weather, I also lose income, so it’s not an easy decision for me either.

Thank you to everyone who has been patient, understanding, and supportive throughout the summer. It really does mean a lot, and I appreciate every single one of you. ❤️

Hi guys we’ve a couple of hot days today & tomorrow, I’m trying my best to keep the salon cool but should temperatures get too high I will have to move some appointments again, I’m sure you know by now it’s not safe for the dogs or myself to work when it’s so warm in the salon

If this affects your appointment I will be in touch

Thanks xx

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

Health & Welfare Policy:

Your dog’s health and wellbeing are my top priority. Owners MUST inform me of any known health issues before their appointment, including (but not limited to) lumps, bumps, scabs, wounds, sores, skin conditions, infections, recent surgery, injuries, or any other medical concerns.

Any health issues or medical conditions MUST be disclosed BEFORE your appointment. If undisclosed concerns are only revealed at drop-off and prevent me from safely carrying out the groom, the appointment will be cancelled and the full grooming fee will be payable.

I reserve the right to refuse or stop a groom at any stage if I believe continuing is not in your dog’s best interests, or if grooming products, water, brushing, clipping, or drying could worsen an existing or newly identified condition. I am the professional, it is my choice because it is my business at stake should something happen.

This policy is also in place to protect your dog’s welfare and to ensure I am not held liable for the aggravation of any pre-existing or undisclosed health condition. If veterinary treatment is required before grooming can safely continue, I will be happy to reschedule your appointment once your dog has been cleared for grooming.

Please help me do right by your dogs, their health and welfare is always what I put first in everything I do for them ❤️

Thankyou
Amber

✨ I’m back! ✨
After a much-needed holiday, I’m back at work tomorrow!
I also have some exciting personal news… We’re engaged! 💍❤️ Thank you to everyone who has already sent their congratulations—it really means so much!

I just wanted to share a few updates regarding appointments.

From September onwards (apart from December), I’ll be reducing my working week by one day, and this will continue into the New Year. As a result, some appointment dates and schedules will need to change. I’ll be in touch with anyone who is affected.

I’m also still working through a backlog of appointments caused by the recent hot weather, when it simply wasn’t safe to groom. Some of these clients have very kindly waited 2–3 weeks, so I’ll be prioritising getting those dogs seen first as they are now the most in need.

I kindly ask for your patience, understanding and consideration while I work through this. I’m doing everything I can with the hours in the day to make sure every dog is cared for safely and leaves happy, healthy and looking their best.

Thank you all for your continued support, loyalty and kindness—it never goes unnoticed, and I’m so grateful for each and every one of you. ❤️🐾

☀️ Holiday Notice ☀️

Just a little heads up that I’ll be away from 11th July until 20th July enjoying a well-needed break. 💛

During this time I’ll be completely signed out of my business accounts, so I won’t be replying to messages, booking enquiries or appointment requests.

All messages and enquiries will be responded to from 20th July onwards, in the order they’re received. Thank you for your patience and understanding—I can’t wait to come back refreshed and see all my lovely clients again! 🐾
