Diary Entry #10 – Behind the Scenes at Sitter4pets

We're into double figures! 🎉

And for Diary Entry #10, I thought I'd show you something you don't normally get to see...

A little peek behind the scenes at Sitter4pets. 👀

But first, a couple of Story Tag updates!

Jonathan is now back from his honeymoon after having a wonderful time. 💍

Duke and Dobby were an absolute pleasure to look after while he was away, and hopefully we'll soon have a lovely review to add to the end of their Sitter4pets story too. 💜

Meanwhile, I've swapped dogs for cats...

🐱 I'm currently in Wakefield looking after Alfie, whose family have been clients of mine for an incredible 13 years.

I finish here on Friday and then...

I HAVE TWO WEEKS OFF!! 😂🙌

And I'll be spending most of it with my own baby girl, Bramble, my 8-year-old completely bonkers Springador. 🐶💜

But while I'm here with Alfie, I thought I'd use this Diary Entry to show you another side of professional pet sitting.

💻 The bit that happens behind the scenes.

Sitter4pets has its own completely bespoke business system, built from scratch specifically for my business, and only Sitter4pets clients have access to it.

Inside is something I call the Client Information Pack (CIP).

It's where clients can tell me everything I need to know about their pets and home — feeding, walks, behaviour, allergies, property security, vet information, emergency contacts and all those tiny quirks that can make such a big difference when you're caring for somebody else's pets.

But that's only part of what the system does.

Behind the scenes it also handles quotes, invoices, reminders and review requests, while giving my sitters access to the information they need for bookings they're covering.

And while we're actually pet sitting, we can add updates as we go such as walks completed, litter trays cleaned, bins taken out, plants watered and everything else we're doing around the home.

The client can log in whenever they like and see those updates for themselves. 💜

Diary Entry #9

Instead of caring for somebody else's pets, I'm spending some quality time with my own family, enjoying a lovely holiday together in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. 💜

It's a chance to recharge my batteries before the next Sitter4pets adventures begin.

While I've been away, it's been lovely reflecting on how several Story Tags have reached happy milestones...

Jonathan's wedding weekend went brilliantly, and he's now enjoying his honeymoon after what I hope was a truly unforgettable day.

It looks like Terry was happy with our pet meet...
..because he's now booked a further 45 days of pet sitting between September 2026 and July 2027!

As cats grow older, their needs often change. They may move a little slower, sleep a little longer, or appreciate a quieter pace of life.

Sometimes the smallest things, it could be a warm blanket, a familiar routine, or gentle companionship.... it can make a huge difference to their comfort and wellbeing 💛🐾

Diary Entry #8 – Begins

Today, another familiar Sitter4pets Story Tag moved on to its next chapter...

I arrived at 11:30am and spent a little time chatting with Jonathan before he headed off to enjoy his very special wedding day.

As always, it's lovely having those few final moments together before owners leave. It's a chance to answer any last-minute questions, wish them a wonderful time and reassure them that everything is in hand.

For the next couple of days, my focus is on two very handsome boys...

I've shared a little video of Duke enjoying some playtime, along with a photo of Dobby, who was more than happy to pose for the camera. 📸

There's another little story running alongside this one too.

Another client also needed pet and house sitting this weekend. As I was already committed to Jonathan's booking, my trusted sitter David has stepped in to care for her cat and home instead.

Having someone I trust completely means more families can enjoy their holidays knowing their pets are receiving the same loving, professional care that Sitter4pets is known for.

Once this weekend comes to an end, The Sitter4pets Diaries will be taking a short break too.

Not because the stories have finished...

But because it's my turn to enjoy a little time away, a family holiday in Richmond next week 💜🐾
