🐾 WE’RE HIRING! 🐾
With Josie heading off on maternity leave early next year, we’re looking for someone brilliant to join the Pawsome Days team as full-time maternity cover.
📍 Castle Donington
⏰ Full-time – 37.5 hours
📅 Flexible start date during December 2026 / January 2027
This definitely isn’t a job for someone who simply “likes dogs”!
We’re looking for someone who ideally has previous experience working with dogs, canine behaviour, animal care or in a similar environment, and who is confident handling dogs of all breeds, sizes and personalities.
You’ll also need:
🐾 A full UK driving licence and confidence driving both manual and automatic vans
🐾 To meet our company van insurer’s driver requirements
🐾 Great people skills — you’ll be speaking to clients every day
🐾 To be happy with a busy, active and very hands-on job
🐾 To be reliable, sensible and able to work confidently as part of a team
🐾 A very good sense of humour!
Team fit is hugely important to us. We’re a small, close-knit team of four, so we’re looking for someone friendly, down-to-earth, easy to work with and happy to muck in. Everyone helps everyone, and personality matters just as much to us as experience.
There may also be the opportunity to provide licensed home boarding for our daycare dogs, subject to home suitability and local-authority licensing. Boarding is paid separately in addition to the main role.
We’re planning for the successful person to spend time working alongside and shadowing Josie before she starts maternity leave, so there’s plenty of time to learn how everything works.
