ยฃ12 for a one hour walk

02/10/2026

October's here and winter routines are forming. If your dog's midweek days are looking long and dark, a regular walk slot fixes both: proper exercise, proper daylight, settled dog. An hour is ยฃ12, every 10th walk free. Message us or call 07920 624 433. ๐Ÿพ

Hello October, season of leaf-pile zoomies. One small heads-up from the killjoy department: check a leaf pile before the dog dives in. They hide sticks, glass and the occasional hedgehog settling in for winter. Then, by all means, zoomies. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿถ

That's September walked. Thank you to every dog and owner who's been part of it. Quick question as we plan ahead: what would you like to see on the Pawkies blog next? Training tips, local routes, health guides, more dog introductions? We write it for you, so tell us. ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿพ

It's mushroom season, and the damp ground is popping with fungi everywhere. Most are harmless, a few really aren't, and nobody expects owners to tell them apart. The rule that keeps it simple: every mushroom is off the menu. If your dog eats one anyway, photograph it and ring the vet. ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿพ

Sunday route poll: woodland, riverside or up a hill? You're choosing for the dog, obviously. ๐Ÿพ

Myth-bust Saturday: 'a dry, warm nose means a sick dog.' Not really. A dog's nose changes moisture and temperature all day: sleep, weather, hydration. It's a rubbish thermometer. Judge health by energy, appetite and behaviour instead, and let the nose be a nose. ๐Ÿถ

As the evenings shorten, the midday walk starts doing double duty: exercise AND your dog's daylight hours, banked while you're at work. It's our most popular slot through autumn and winter, and the regulars keep theirs week to week. Get yours in early. Message us or call 07920 624 433. โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿพ

The equinox has been and gone, and you can feel the evenings pulling in. Worth digging out the reflective gear and clip-on lights before you actually need them: the dark creeps up fast at this latitude. Full dark-walking guide coming on the blog soon. ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿพ

Settle another debate: is your dog the type who refuses to GO OUT in the rain, or the type who refuses to COME BACK IN? There is apparently no middle ground, and we'd like the census data. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿถ
