🎉 Happy 1st Birthday, Lily! 🎉
Lily has been coming to our daycare since she was a puppy, and it’s been lovely watching her grow into the happy, confident, beautiful girl she is today.
She’s a much loved member of our daycare family, along with her big sister Amber, who also joins us for plenty of fun ☺️

Not every dog becomes instant best friends, and that’s completely okay.

At Oxford Pet Whisperers, we don’t believe safe socialisation means throwing dogs together and hoping they “work it out”.

Dogs have preferences, boundaries, confidence levels and off days, just like we do. When two dogs don’t immediately click, it doesn’t mean one is “good” and one is “bad”. It means we need to observe, ask why, and guide the interaction properly.

Our role is to step in early, read body language, support calm choices, and create an environment where every dog feels understood.

Because good daycare isn’t about forcing friendships.

It’s about structure, trust, confidence, and making sure every dog in our care is set up to succeed. 🐾 🤍🖤

👋🏼 Welcome Oakley 🐾🎾
Oakley is a gorgeous 18 month old Cavapoo who’s been settling into life at OPW really nicely 💫 He was a little unsure to begin with, but has taken things at his own pace and is already showing a big boost in confidence.
He’s starting to enjoy socialising with the other dogs and getting involved in group play, especially when there’s a ball about 🎾🐕 It’s been great to see him relax more each day and grow in confidence as he becomes familiar with his surroundings.
We’re so pleased with how far he’s come already and can’t wait to see him continue to flourish!

🎉🐾 Happy 2nd Birthday, Blea! 🐾🎉
Since joining OPW in August 2025, this lovely girl has made such amazing progress. Her confidence has grown so much, and we’ve loved watching her come out of her shell. 💛
Blea loves fetch, playing with her friends, and coming to daycare each week to see us trianers. 🎾🐕
To celebrate turning 2, she shared 10 dried sausages with all of her friends, what a treat! 🌭🥳

👋🏼 Meet Loki 🐾💙
Loki is a lovely 2 year old Labrador who was a little unsure when he first arrived, but it didn’t take long for him to start settling in with us at OPW 💫
He spent his first day getting to know the group and enjoying some time out in the garden 🐕✨ Along the way, he explored the sandpit, cooled off in the paddling pool 💦 and took part in some focused training, practising his recall and a few handy tricks. He also tackled the agility equipment, making his way through hoops and poles with growing confidence!
As the day went on, Loki really began to relax and show his playful side. He’s already formed a lovely friendship with another Labrador called Honey 🐾💛 and the two of them got on brilliantly.
We’re so happy to have Loki join us for our pick up and play service at Oxford Pet Whisperers, and we’re looking forward to seeing his confidence continue to build 🐶🚐✨
