Heat Stroke: Know the Facts! 🥵

💦 Cold water is safe - it’s the best way to cool an overheating dog.

Forget the myth that cold water sends a dog into shock, if your dog is overheating their body temperature needs to be lowered as quickly as possible. Cold water is the most effective way to do this. Get them as wet as possible, soaking them entire body - think ‘Wet then Vet’!

🧊 Ice cubes are a lovely cooling treat on a sunny day, and giving frozen treats on a Lick-e-mat, or over a Kong are a great way to keep your pets entertained.

🐶 Dogs that have thick coats, flat faces, are elderly or overweight are at the biggest risk❗️

Be extra careful and put every measure you can in place to keep them safe and cool 😎
