How Lucky Are We? 🐾
How lucky are we to have pets in our lives?
To have someone who depends on us, who has their own bowls, bedding and towels, and who we think about when we’re out and about, often coming home with a wee something just for them.
How lucky are we to have someone who loves us unconditionally, and to have the opportunity to love them in return. Someone who is happy simply to be beside us, whether that’s curled up on the sofa, lying at our feet, or sleeping nearby.
They become part of our routines, our homes and our everyday lives. They make us smile, keep us company and, in their own quiet way, become part of the family.
And when the time comes to say goodbye, the sadness we feel can be overwhelming. We miss them in the smallest of moments and remember the things that made them uniquely theirs.
But perhaps that is also a reminder of just how fortunate we are to have known them.
To have cared for them.
To have been loved by them.
To have shared a part of our lives with them.
