Firework night is approaching fast and some fireworks are already been set off, it is really important to take measures to reduce the stress of our four legged friends.

However I do also recommend desensitising your dogs, we all know it’s happens every year so I highly recommend to all dog owners and especially those with puppies to play firework noises through your TV or speakers, not hugely loud but increase the noise as they remain settled to help to familiarise themselves with the noise.

✨Dogs are very intelligent and they pick up on your worry and stress and anxiety, don’t panic and stress and rush to close curtains and turn the tv ridiculously loud as soon as you hear the first bang as the dogs will think because you are acting unusual and scared, they need to too✨

I’ve trimmed the nails on this sweet boy a few times and since then he has been diagnosed with Diabetes, it is so very important for me to know about any medical concerns for your dogs as often I need to alter my grooming methods with some illnesses.

Dogs with diabetes need to be on a strict routine and increased energy or stress levels can cause adjustments in their blood sugar levels and they may become drowsy and weak.

Because I was aware of his diabetes and medical needs I could adjust his grooming needs and ensure I had him booked into a bigger time slot to allow for many breaks to keep him as calm and relaxed and preserving all his energy to remain safe and healthy whilst in my care.

He came as a puppy a few months ago for regular puppy introduction sessions and he came in recently for a full groom, this consisted of everything in the puppy sessions along with some introductions into Hand Stripping to remove the fluff to keep the silky vibrant brown coat😍

‼️Bark and Boujee Dog Grooming Contract and Consent Form‼️

I have updated and created a thorough grooming contract and consent form for all my existing and new customers, this is to make everybody aware of expectations from myself for drop off and collection times, cancellation notices, and the use of photos on my social media, as well as protecting your dogs, ensuring I know everything medical and allergies related that I need to know and overall just to ensure everyone understands what I have listed in my contract.

It has come to my attention that certain areas of this need to be addressed and unfortunately a case has occurred which has lead me to create such a detailed contract so any problems can be minimised in the future.

I will be asking all my clients to sign the relevant areas of this contract at you next appointments but this gives you chance to read through this beforehand.
