Today’s the day.

From 11am–3pm, the doors are open at Dereham Dog Den and Dereham Dog Academy for our Open Day — and we’d genuinely love to see you there.

Whether you’re curious about daycare, looking for training support, interested in scentwork, wondering about behaviour help, or simply want somewhere your dog can safely explore and have fun, today is a chance to come and see everything for yourself.

You’ll be able to: • explore the Den facilities
• try enrichment and confidence equipment
• meet the team
• chat about classes and services
• ask training questions
• find out about upcoming plans, including dog walking services
• and enjoy a BBQ while you’re here

No formal presentations. No hard sell. Just a relaxed day for dog people.
Dogs are welcome.

This time Sunday, we’ll probably be standing around a BBQ talking about dogs.

If you’ve been following Dereham Dog Academy for a while but haven’t quite made it along yet, our Open Day this weekend is probably the perfect opportunity.

Come and see what we actually do. Meet the team behind the posts. Ask questions. Watch dogs work. Have a look around the Den. Find out more about classes, scentwork, behaviour support and everything in between.

You do not need a “problem dog” to come. You do not need training experience. You do not need to commit to anything.
Just bring yourself, bring your dog if you’d like to, and come and spend a few relaxed hours with people who genuinely enjoy helping dogs and their owners.

One of the nicest things about dog training is that, eventually, the dogs stop being the only reason people come.

People stay because they feel understood. Because someone remembers their dog’s quirks. Because they realise they’re not the only person struggling with lead pulling, recall, over-arousal or confidence.

That matters more than most people think.
At Dereham Dog Academy, the training is important. But so is the atmosphere around it.

Our Open Day on 31st May is a chance to come and meet the people behind everything properly. Phil, Linda and the wider team will all be around throughout the day for questions, conversations and probably a few slightly obsessive dog discussions.

If you’ve ever wondered whether we might be the right fit for you and your dog, this is probably the easiest way to find out.

A physically tired dog and a mentally fulfilled dog are not the same thing.

You can walk some dogs for miles and still come home with a brain that’s buzzing.

That’s why so much of what we do at Dereham Dog Academy focuses on engagement, problem solving, confidence and learning how to work with your dog rather than simply exercising them.
For some dogs that looks like scentwork. For others it’s parkour, obedience foundations, toy play or learning how to settle around distractions.

The Open Day on 31st May is a chance to explore all of that properly. Come and meet the team, ask questions and find out what might suit your own dog best.

And if nothing else, there’ll be burgers (and doggy bags)!
