🐾 Puppy Classes abd 1 to 1's Weather Update – Important Change for Sunday 12th July 🐾

Good afternoon everyone,

With the extreme heat we’re experiencing, we’ve made the decision to move this Sunday’s puppy class (12th July) to Sunday 19th July. This isn’t a decision we ever take lightly, and in five years of running classes, this is only the second time we’ve had to cancel due to weather.

The health and wellbeing of both puppies and owners will always come first, and the current temperatures simply aren’t safe for young dogs to train in.

This change means the puppy course will now finish on Sunday 9th August.
If you’re unable to attend on the 9th August, please let us know and a double session will be available on Sunday 2nd August instead.

Thank you so much for your understanding. If you have any questions or need support with anything in the meantime, please feel free to reach out.

1-1 training is also cancelled and I will be in touch shortly to arrange a new date and time for you

Happy 7th Birthday, Marley, our blanket‑suckling king,
The gentle little soul who moans at everything.
Ask him for a walk? He’ll act like he’s in pain,
Yet mention food once, he’s sprinting down the lane.

He’s a mummy’s boy forever, with a bum that never stops,
A wriggly little wiggle that could power ten whole shops.
He meerkats for attention, he melts hearts on demand,
And he tolerates sweet Amber like a saint in dog form land.

He’s good with all the puppies, though he’d rather charm the crew,
Because humans give him cuddles and snacks (he knows they do).
Seven years of chaos, love, and being extra every day,
Marley, you’re perfection in a fluffy cocker way.

So here’s to our dramatic prince, our moaner, our delight,
Happy Birthday, gorgeous boy, keep shining, keep wriggling bright.

☀️🐾 Heatwave? Amber & Marley said “Not today, Satan.” 🐾☀️

Here are the dynamic duo keeping cool while the sun tries its best to melt us all into the pavement.
Today’s enrichment special:
Frozen Forthglade turkey pâté on a lick mat or as Marley calls it, “my emotional support ice lolly."
Walks are cancelled.
Movement is cancelled.
Thinking is cancelled.
But licking? Licking is VERY much still on the schedule.
Why lick mats are basically doggy spa therapy:
Promote calmness: Repetitive licking releases endorphins, which is science speak for “helps them chill their beans.”
Provide enrichment: All those grooves make their brains work harder than I do on a Monday morning after a weekend of classes and 1.1's.
Slow down eating: Ideal for dogs who inhale food like it’s a competitive sport.
Perfect for hot days: Frozen mats = Instant doggy air‑con.
Amber gives it 10/10.
Marley gives it 11/10 because he stole Amber’s when she blinked.

Just want to give a huge shout out to, Only Your Design
Keeley is the artist behind it, and honestly, she is something special. I must have had 30+ slates from her over the years and every single one has been spot on. She captures the dogs perfectly, the colouring, the expressions, and she always gets the eyes right. That’s the bit that gets me every time, it’s like she brings them back to you for a moment.

I mainly buy them as gifts for friends, family or clients, especially when someone has recently lost a dog, or as a lovely Christmas present. They’re always treasured.

These are my three latest ones that I have ordered, my beautiful Bear, my sweet girl Amber and my mum’s lovely boy Prince, who sadly passed recently. Keeley captured them all perfectly.

If you’re ever looking for something meaningful, personal and created with real talent, I can’t recommend Only Your Design enough.

🐾 Puppy Classes – Important Update for Tomorrow 🐾

We’re really looking forward to meeting all the new puppies starting group classes tomorrow.

Please note: all puppy classes — including the 9am group — will begin at 10am tomorrow.
To help us keep everything running smoothly, please don’t arrive more than 10 minutes early.

The 11am Advanced Class will run at the normal time and we are excited to see how the pups have progressed after their short break.

🐣 Easter Safety Reminder 🐾

Some Easter treats can be dangerous for dogs. Please keep these out of reach:

- Chocolate
- Hot cross buns (raisins & currants)
- Xylitol (in sugar‑free sweets)
- Onions & garlic
- Cooked bones
- Alcohol

If your dog eats any of these, contact a vet straight away. Acting quickly can make all the difference.
