🐾 GETTING TO KNOW ME & MY JOURNEY 🐾
I thought I’d take a little time to introduce myself and share a bit about how I came to do what I love today. ❤️
My journey with animals started with my very first job, working with horses on a farm. From there, I went on to spend over 10 years working in a busy rescue centre, where I had the privilege of caring for and rehabilitating some truly amazing animals.
Although I loved working with all the animals, it was the dogs who stole my heart. 🐶❤️
Working with rescue dogs taught me so much about behaviour, patience and trust. I saw first-hand just how incredibly resilient dogs can be, even after difficult experiences. Some needed time, some needed space, and some simply needed someone to believe in them.
Eventually, I made the decision to leave the rescue centre and pursue another passion of mine — dog grooming.
The experience I had gained over those years made the transition into grooming feel very natural, and I have genuinely loved every moment of it. I feel incredibly lucky and grateful that I get to turn my passion for dogs into something I can do every day. ✂️🐾
But the part of grooming that is closest to my heart is working with nervous, scared and older rescue dogs.
Building a relationship with a dog who may not trust people easily, helping them feel safe, and watching that little bit of confidence grow is incredibly rewarding. Sometimes the biggest achievement isn’t the finished groom — it’s earning their trust. ❤️
Every dog has their own story, their own personality and their own needs, and I believe they deserve to be treated with patience, kindness and understanding.
After so many years working with dogs, I still feel incredibly lucky to do what I do.
This isn’t just a job for me — it’s something I truly care about. 🐾❤️
Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about me and my journey. And if you’ve got a nervous or older dog who needs a little extra patience and understanding, I’d love to meet them. 🐶💕
