This is a exercise we practice a lot because it’s lovely to have a dog that will stand patiently while you chat 🦮🐶🤗🤗

For at least 16 months I have been trying to get Bonnie to retrieve a dumbbell, many methods failed she’d rather play with her ball, even had her mouth checked out at the vet to ensure nothing wrong as to why she won’t hold it 🤷‍♀️ anyway 1:1 yesterday with Dena Skellern at Home From Home Dog Care and guess what My Diva, Princess B*tch for nearly an hour was actually interested in it, trotting alongside Dena grabbing and wanting to hold it 😳homework for me to get the same out of her before stage 2 🐶❤️

Learning your dog to keep is head up, not sniffing the ground or just not taking notice of you, make it fun teach a touch and then touch follow, making a game out of what you would like to achieve is the best sort of training.

We have had a very busy time since we got back of holiday, making sure the kennels are all dry and warm ready for winter it’s so important to us that our residents are happy 😊

Classes have been amazing lots of new faces giving me new challenges to get these dogs and handlers moving forward and address the problems they are facing.

Sometimes I can’t believe my hobby all those years ago has given me the best job ever 🤗🤗🤗🤗🐶🦮🥰
