Or if you have found a ferret, I can help you try to find the owner. I have fostering facilities and am also in contact with ferret rescues.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE CHECK ON YOUR ANIMALS!

Due to today's extreme 37°C temperatures, we are issuing a critical reminder to check on all animals immediately.
Bring them in if you have to. Better a poo to clean up than your beloved pet!

Key Symptoms of Heatstroke:
• Extreme lethargy,
• Laying flat while open-mouthed panting,
• drooling,
• glassy eyes,
• discoloured (bright red/pale) gums.

How to deal with heatstroke:
• Move the animal to a cool, shaded area.
• Apply cool (not freezing) water to the paw pads.
• Utilise fans and place wet towels close by
• Provide fresh water locally, but do not force-feed fluids.
• Contact a veterinarian immediately.

Prioritise your pets' safety today. Early intervention is vital!
