The NC500 is going to be Loki’s big adventure, it’s imminent & now absolutely achievable for him & his owners. He’s a quirky character who had got himself stuck in a reinforcement loop that was having a negative impact on him & his ability to enjoy freedom.
The loop was simple, bark & lunge like a crazy bad ass lunatic & other dogs stay out of my space. It was highly practiced & very effective, but meant walking him could feel like going into battle. Walks became shorter, the lead became tighter & freedom was curtailed, this is no life for such a handsome springer!
After 5 weeks of putting avoidance in the bin, he’s now got the skills & confidence to navigate his world in a much better mindset. Play has been essential to boost his confidence & clear boundaries have been set to show him what is, & isn’t, acceptable behaviour. He’s now carrying himself much better, has made new friends,has developed more swagger & the NC500 will just be the start of many more adventures for him.
