We’ve got a little potato for you all to meet 😇

Introducing 8 week old bulldog Stitch 🩵

Stitch has a large umbilical hernia and will have to undergo surgery for this but we’re giving him some time to grow and build strength beforehand 💪🏼

Stitch isn’t available for adoption at the moment but we’ll keep you all updated on his progress and recovery ☺️

Meet the brothers 🥰

Casper and Buster are both 14 week old french bulldog pups who will be looking for their forever homes very soon ❤️

Buster is struggling with some allergies at the moment but other than that the boys don’t have any health concerns and were surrendered due to a change in circumstances 😇

Please don’t send enquiries just yet but keep your eyes peeled because the boys will be taking applications soon 👀 (they’ll be rehomed separate as they’re already fed up of each other 🙈)

Doc is searching for his forever person 🥹

Doc is a timid little staffy who likes to be close to his person - he’d suit someone who is home a lot. He’s very sweet natured and needs a calm environment ☺️

Doc can take a little longer than most pups to settle and he likes to have his own space, he really does need someone who understands his individual quirks and will give him lots of time to come out of his shell and be the affectionate little man we know he is 🙏🏼

Doc was born with a bilateral cleft lip which meant he had to be tube fed every two hours around the clock before being weaned into solid food! Now he’s 4 months old and eating and drinking just like a normal puppy 🙌🏼 His cleft cause him absolutely no issues!

He’s not quite ready to go home just yet but we are starting to take applications so he has his home ready and waiting for when he’s started his big boy vaccines 💪🏼

Before applying please ensure your home is the right match for this pup. Please only apply if you meet the following criteria:

🌼 can be an only dog or with a very calm older dog (females must be neutered)
🌸 not cat tested
🌼 good with calm children
🌸 comfortable being left for up to 4 hours
🌼 medical condition(s) : bilateral cleft lip
🌸 ongoing medication required : no
🌼 location : Oakham
🌸 adoption fee : £550
🌼 breed : staffy

Any applications filled out using chatGPT will not be considered. Please apply via the link - www.midlandscleftrescue.co.uk 💌

Ava is our beautiful 3 year old frenchie girl who came to us as an ex breeding bitch 🥰

She’s mumma to three of our pups who were surrendered recently 💛

We’ve had several older dogs surrendered to us and so Ava has already found her forever home! 👀 It’s always a struggle to gain interest for our older dogs, so we looked through previous applications we had on file and her perfect match has been patiently waiting all this time 😇

What can we say about this handsome fella? 🥹

Smudge really has given foster mum Jade a hard time recently 🙈 He was surrendered to us due to soft tissue damage to his leg (his vet thinks it may have been from a snake bite but we can’t be certain). Smudge has had to go to the vet every second day for treatment and he’s a little bu**er who likes to remove his own bandage so this quickly turned into daily visits!

Although it may not look the best currently his leg is healing wonderfully and the vets are happy with his progress from crate rest (he’s a lively boy so this hasn’t been easy for him), bandage changes, etc! He’s got a long way to go, as treatment is likely to take 16-20 weeks but he’s a little fighter 💪🏼

Smudge isn’t available for adoption yet as he is still undergoing treatment but we will keep everyone updated on his progress as his leg heals 🫶🏼

Here comes trouble 🙈

Meet Frankie - our 14 week old trouble maker 🥰

This little frenchie has heaps of personality, he was surrendered to us due to developing a dermoid cyst on his eye but this is causing him absolutely no bother! 🧡 He’s been seen by our vet and they’ve confirmed that no intervention or treatment is needed at this time 👏🏼

Keep your eyes peeled because it won’t be long before this handsome fella is taking applications 🙏🏼
(as always please do not send enquiries until we post that Frankie is taking applications)

Please be patient with us 🙏🏼

We’ve started going through applications but we have 10 dogs available at the moment who have all been extremely popular! There is 100s of applications for us to go through 👏🏼

We appreciate the enthusiasm from everyone but please try not to message for updates whilst we work through everyone’s application and start requesting homechecks. All dogs taking applications are on the website, if it says “apply for …” they’re still available 🧡

We also have 39 dogs in foster at the moment - some getting prepped for surgery, recovering from surgery, being tube fed, receiving treatment, etc 🤍 As you can imagine it’s extremely busy over here 🙈

We’ll work as quickly as we can to get back to applicants and we’re working on an email system so that those unsuccessful this time can also be notified 🥰

Thank you so much to each and every person who has applied for a pup, supported us and for your patience - we appreciate all of you 🫶🏼

Our little Bernie is awake after surgery and on her way home 😇

Little fighter Bernie has had her surgery! She ended up having to see a specialist and so we’re now trying to raise the £800 surgery cost 🙏🏼 This was an emergency operation meaning we didn’t have time to raise the funds prior, so we’re doing things a little backwards! If you can help donate anything toward Bernie’s surgery we would be so appreciative - her fundraiser is under the “support” section of our website (www.midlandscleftrescue.co.uk) 🤞🏼

Our lovely lady is now recovering and doing extremely well! If you missed her introduction…Bernie was surrendered with artesia ani - a rare birth defect where the a**l opening fails to develop and remains blocked by a membrane. Bernie is three weeks old, so as you can imagine was in extreme pain and discomfort from not being able to pass stool 🥺

But the good news is surgery went well and she’s ready to start living life as the happy, energetic puppy we know she truly is 🫶🏼
