2027 care plan spaces are officially open! 🤍

If you’re someone who likes to be organised and have your dog’s grooming appointments sorted well in advance, this is for you!

my care plans are designed to make regular grooming and preventative dental care more accessible, whilst making it easier to budget throughout the year.

Instead of paying at each appointment, the cost is spread into manageable monthly payments, with your dog’s grooming appointments secured for the year ahead.

Depending on which package you choose, your care plan can include:

• Regular grooming appointments tailored to your dog
• Emmi-Pet ultrasonic teeth cleaning maintenance at every visit
• All grooming appointments secured for 2027
• Complimentary nail clips between appointments
• A birthday treat for your pup!

No more remembering to book appointments, worrying about availability or having to pay for everything in one go. It’s all taken care of!

I’m also making a few changes to how my diary will run in 2027, meaning appointment availability will be more limited than ever. With fewer spaces to offer, securing a regular grooming schedule is going to be particularly important!

Memberships close at the end of October, with plans beginning in January 2027.

big on the fact that being a good dog groomer isn’t just about how the dog looks at the end 👏🏻

roxy is 13 now and grooming is getting harder for her. i used to find dogs like roxy some of the hardest to groom because i’m such a perfectionist. i’d notice every longer bit, every area that could be blended better and every leg i could spend another 15 minutes sc******ng.

is she perfectly even? somewhat
are there long bits? probably
is she comfortable? yes
were her owners happy? absolutely

sometimes that means not worrying about getting the perfect scissor finish. sometimes it means accepting a few uneven bits and knowing when enough is enough

being a great groomer is also about knowing how to adapt to the dog in front of you and recognising what actually matters most!

a little salon update!!🤍

With the salon coming up to its first birthday, I’ve been reflecting a lot on my first year and honestly, I can’t believe how much I’ve learnt 🥹

I’d already spent years working as a groomer before opening my own salon, so part of me thought “I’ve been doing this for years, how different can running your own salon really be?” 🤣 Turns out, being a groomer and running your own grooming salon are two very different things 😂

One of the biggest things I’ve learnt is that sometimes I have to separate myself from the business. There’s the side of me that wants to keep everyone happy and would always rather avoid putting prices up, and then there’s me as a business owner who has to look at what the business actually needs.

I’ve also become much more confident in valuing the service I provide. I’ve spent years building my skills as a groomer and I’m genuinely so proud of the one-to-one, crate-free salon I’ve built. I’ve realised my pricing needs to better reflect the time, skill, care and experience that goes into every appointment 🤍

Some of you may remember I made a small adjustment to my prices back in June. At the time I thought that would be enough, but it turns out it simply wasn’t. I’d rather make a more meaningful adjustment now than continue making smaller increases so frequently.

So from 1st December, grooming prices will be increasing by around £5–£15, depending on your dog’s breed, coat and the time their groom requires.

I know that’s not a small increase and I’m very conscious that grooming is another regular outgoing for you too. I really have taken that into consideration, which is why I wanted to look at how I could add more value too 🤍

From December, smooth & double-coated breeds will have my deshedding mud mask included as standard, while long-haired & curly breeds will receive a tailored intensive mask treatment depending on their individual coat and skin needs 🫧

My new Care Plans will also remain unaffected by this increase when they launch in January for dogs who have both their regular groom & Emmi-Pet maintenance with me. I’ll be sharing more about those very soon 🤍

I don’t want the answer to be squeezing more dogs into my day or compromising the service I’ve built. I want to continue giving your dogs the time, patience and individual care they deserve.

This little salon genuinely means the world to me and I’m SO proud of what it’s become in its first year 🥹 Thank you to every single person who chooses to bring their dog to me, recommends me, supports my little business and, most importantly, trusts me with their dogs. I never take any of it for granted 🤍

he had his first ever full groom & emmi pet teeth cleaning and he was such a star! sooo confident and so loving 🥰 his momma brought him with his emotional support blankey and i thought that was so adorable

obviously every dog is completely different and what works for one might not work for another! I just get to know them, figure out what they like/don’t like and go from there

and yes, very enthusiastically telling them they are a good boy/girl 1738391 times during their groom is absolutely necessary x
