just a few little things I do during grooms that I find can make a difference! 🫶🏻

obviously every dog is completely different and what works for one might not work for another! I just get to know them, figure out what they like/don’t like and go from there

and yes, very enthusiastically telling them they are a good boy/girl 1738391 times during their groom is absolutely necessary x

this definitely isn’t every groomer in daventry, just a little appreciation post for a few of the lovely local groomers around me!! 🫶🏻

grooming can be SUCH a lonely job, especially when you work on your own, so having other groomers around you who understand it is honestly so nice. whether it’s a random chat, asking about a product, sharing a recommendation or just talking about the day you’ve had, it makes such a difference.

technically we’re all ‘competition’ but it really doesn’t feel like that. we all do things differently, suit different dogs and run our businesses in our own way, and there are always plenty of dogs to go around 😂 i genuinely love seeing other local groomers succeed!!

i speak to so many groomers online day in day out too and the support is just so lovely! i’ve never even met majority, but you still end up talking all the time, celebrating each other’s wins and being there on the rubbish days too

i know the grooming community can sometimes be noisy and controversial, but luckily i’ve never really experienced that side of it. i just feel really lucky with the people i’m surrounded by, both locally and online

in a job that can feel quite lonely sometimes, it’s really nice knowing there are so many lovely people around who just get it 🤍

Every summer, dogs across the UK suffer from preventable heatstroke. We can't stop people from walking their dogs, but we can help educate, raise awareness and save lives.

I'm asking for your support to help get pet heat safety included in official Met Office Extreme Heat Alerts, so more owners see vital advice about: 🐾 Dangerous temperatures 🐾 Hot pavements 🐾 Preventing heatstroke 🐾 When to seek urgent veterinary care.

As someone who works with dogs every day, this is a cause incredibly close to my heart.

Let's work together. 💪 If every person signs and shares this petition, we can reach thousands of dog owners and help prevent unnecessary suffering.

We call on the Government to work with the Met Office to include pet heat safety advice in all official extreme heat warnings. This should include guidance on avoiding dog walks in dangerous temperatures, hot pavements, preventing heatstroke and when to seek urgent veterinary care.

i told myself i wasn’t going to post on socials while i’m on holiday but there was absolutely no chance i wasn’t posting about this!!!! 🤍

the adored dog spa came 2nd for best new business at awards 🥹

i honestly still can’t believe it. when i was nominated i’d only been open for 5 months, and now to find out i was only 0.06% off 1st place is just CRAZY!!!!

i’m literally just one person running a tiny little business in daventry, so the fact so many people voted for me means more than i can even explain.

thank you so so much to every single person who voted for me, shared my posts, recommended me and supported my little business. but especially to all of my lovely clients who took the time to vote for me, trusted me with your dogs and have supported me from the very beginning. i genuinely wouldn’t have got this far without you all and i’m so, so grateful 😭🤍

and of course the biggest thank you to my partner james, my absolute number 1 supporter through all of this. i genuinely don’t think i would’ve even opened the adored dog spa without you believing in me first 🤍

i never thought i’d be capable of opening my own business, let alone coming runner up for best new business less than a year later.
