And if you’ve spotted our new look… yes, we’ve had a little rebrand too! 👀 We’re so excited to bring the new Bark by Mylo branding to life and see it on our products in our new stockists.

If you’re local or fancy a little family trip out, The Grange Farm Shop is definitely worth a visit. Have a wander around the farm shop, grab a coffee from the lovely café next door, and if Highland cows are your thing, you can even book an experience to meet them! 🐮

Running a small business looks very different from the outside.

You see the products, the market stalls, the growing website, the new stockists and the exciting milestones.

What you don’t always see is everything that happens behind the scenes.

The mistakes.
The quiet months.
The costs that keep coming.
The doubt.
The long days.
The risk of putting your own money, time and energy into something that might not work.

Bark by Mylo started in October 2024 almost by accident. A little idea that grew into something we decided was worth taking seriously.

We made mistakes. Big ones.

We took our eye off the business when life changed, and for a while it was basically on life support.

Then in January 2026, we decided to give it another proper push.

Six months later, we’re genuinely proud of how far we’ve come.

Market stalls are working.
The website is gaining traction.
We’ve started building wholesale relationships.
We’ve found customers who come back.
And, most importantly, we’re starting to feel like we’re building something that could become much bigger than we originally imagined.

Taking the leap to Tatton Park was terrifying. The financial risk was bigger than anything we’d taken on before.

But it paid off.

And that’s probably the biggest lesson so far:

Sometimes the biggest opportunities come with the biggest risks.

We’re nowhere near where we want to be yet. There are still plenty of challenges, plenty of mistakes still to make, and plenty of hard work ahead.

But we’re moving.

And for a small family business, that’s something we’re incredibly proud of.

Here’s to the next chapter of Bark by Mylo.
