RSPCA Cat Rehoming Hub Rehoming cats rescued by the RSPCA in the North East and North Yorks. Based in Darlington, Co. Durham

**OUR REHOMING PROCESS**

Step 1:

Fill in our Perfect Match adoption form! This can be done via three different ways:

- Email Sophie, our Rehoming Co-ordinator, to request a perfect match form. ( [email protected] )

- You can view and print a copy of the form via this link http://tinyurl.com/3xkup8vd

- Or complete the form online here http://tinyurl.com/4k9pdjvs (this will automatically be sent to us!)

You can express a preference for any cats you have seen on our website or our social media pages. However when you are contacted, you will be advised whether you are a match for a specific cat. Please make sure you live within one hour’s drive of Darlington before applying! (We can advise on how to find a RSPCA centre closer to you if you are too far away to adopt from us!)

Step 2:

Sit back and wait! Waiting time for us to respond to applications is around two weeks, so please be patient! Step 3:

Your details will be added to our database and you will be contacted when a perfect match is found! When we have a perfect match you will receive an email or phone call, asking for further information and to discuss your future feline friend. Step 4:

If we can offer you a cat or kitten for adoption, the rest of the application process will be completed via phone, email and a virtual home check via online chat will be completed. Step 5:

If the adoption process is successful, your cat will be brought to your home by experienced RSPCA staff. There is an adoption fee to pay when you get your new feline friend:

- Kittens under 6 months: £110
- Cats 6 months - 6 years: £100
- Cats 7 years or over: £90

Step 6:

Live happily ever after with your new feline family member! If you have any questions or need advice, don’t worry, you will receive ongoing support from us following adoption!

We recently shared an appeal for donations through our Amazon Wishlist, and we have been blown away by everyone’s kindness!

We’ve received some wonderful donations of cat and kitten food, litter and bedding, all of which make such a difference. Every single donation helps us give them the love, comfort and care they deserve.

Guess who's back? 🍁🍂🎃

This Saturday 17th September Cat Hub are back at Northallerton Town Hall indoor craft fair with our tombola and pop up cafe, which will of course be stocked with our famous cakes & bakes😼❤️

We’ll be there from 10am to 3pm so come along and enjoy the atmosphere, try your luck on our tombola, shop our stall full of goodies & try our delicious warm drinks, bakes and sweet treats lovingly made by our amazing volunteers ☕️🍰

Downstairs will also be the wonderful GRACE Greyhound Rescue with their fantastic win every time Tombola!
We can’t wait to see you there - a huge thank you to Jumping Frog Crafts for hosting such a great event!

Honey & Heathcliffe 🐾❤️

These two wonderful 16 year olds are two of the most affectionate cats you could ever hope to meet, with so much love still left to give.
Everyone who meets Honey and Heathcliffe falls completely in love with them, and it’s not hard to see why!

Honey is a beautiful little shadow who wants to be wherever her people are. She adores being on her foster family’s lap and will happily spend hours having all the fusses, cuddles and head kisses she can get 🥰

Heathcliffe is a big, gentle giant with the sweetest nature. He loves nothing more than being close to you, enjoying plenty of fuss and affection, and spending time watching the world go by from a windowsill (or even just watching his humans!)🐱❤️

Both Honey and Heathcliffe are champion biscuit makers, and you’ll often find them kneading away happily while purring their hearts out 🥹 They absolutely adore human company and would love a home where they can enjoy all the love and attention they deserve.

Despite being 16 years old, these two still have a playful side! They can’t resist a dangly toy, are complete suckers for catnip, and have fantastic appetites too 😸

One thing is non-negotiable though… they will need a comfy bed (or several!) for their naps💤❤️

Honey and Heathcliffe really are the best. They are loving, gentle, funny, affectionate and guaranteed to bring so much happiness to the lucky family who gives them their forever home ✨

🏡 They will need to be the only pets in the home and would love someone who is home often

Rupert is still searching🧡

Rupert is an absolutely gorgeous 10-year-old ginger boy who is still searching for his forever home after two reservations have sadly fallen through, absolutely no fault of his own. 🥺🐾

This handsome boy has come such a long way in foster care and it has been incredibly special watching him blossom. Once Rupert feels safe and has had time to build trust, he is the sweetest, most affectionate lovebug. ❤️

He absolutely adores fusses, loves rolling around for attention and has a wonderfully playful side too! He goes absolutely wild for catnip, could play with a dangly toy for hours and loves sitting by the window watching the world go by. If there are treats involved, especially Lick-e-Lix or dreamies, Rupert is definitely your boy! 😂

Rupert can be nervous around new people and unfamiliar surroundings, so he’ll need a quiet, calm home with a cat-savvy adopter who understands that some cats need a little extra time, patience and kindness.

Rupert can also become easily overstimulated when receiving fusses. He is very good at letting you know when he has had enough and may give a little warning smack to say “okay, that’s enough now!”
His adopters will need to be confident in understanding cat body language and recognising his signals, giving him space when he asks for it❤️

Rupert could potentially live with another friendly, suitable cat. He would need to be indoor-only, or have access to a secure catio.
Rupert would need to be in a children free home.

Rupert also has a history of a road traffic accident several years ago which was unfortunately never treated. He has been thoroughly checked over while in our care and is doing really well, but adopters should be aware that he may develop arthritis earlier in life and could require pain relief in the future.

Flump! 💙💚

Flump is a beautiful 2-year-old boy with the most incredible markings and the most stunning eyes

But this handsome lad has so much more to offer than just his good looks...

Flump is extremely playful and intelligent and absolutely loves his toys. He particularly loves playing with boxes and paper 🤭

Once he gets to know you, Flump loves nothing more than a good head rub, lots of fusses and will happily have a little chat with you too. He’s a very vocal boy and isn’t afraid to let you know what he’s thinking!

Flump can be a little shy when meeting new people, so he’ll need a patient family who will give him the time and space he needs to settle in and show off his wonderful personality.

He is currently unsure around children, however can be rehomed with other friendly cats
