Medivet Darlington Stanhope Park Vets are part of the Medivet Group, who's mission is to provide exceptional care for you and your pet whenever you need it.
(236)

We have 2 branches to provide the Darlington area with a comprehensive range of services for pets. We may have 2 practices, but we have 1 aim: providing your pet with everything they need to live a longer, healthier and happier life. At Stanhope Park Vets our exceptionally high standards can be seen consistently throughout our practices. The biggest practice is based on Stanhope Road in Darlington and is an accredited hospital which can accommodate all types of major surgery. Our Middleton-St-George clinic has been providing clients with consultations and preventative treatments for many years now, and we have recently undertaken major renovation work at this surgery, allowing us to extend our services to include outpatient surgical procedures, without the need to transport your pet to our Darlington Clinic. This expansion work has also seen improvements to our waiting and consulting areas, as well as the creation of a dedicated parking area in the current grounds.

Have you met our newest Client Care Assistant Martha?

"Hello my name is Martha, and I joined the practice in July 2026. I have always had a passion for animals and love being around them. I live on a sheep and cattle farm, so animals have always been a big part of my life. I also have three dogs, Ben a collie, Buddy a cocker spaniel and Betty a pug, aswell as my rescued black and white cat Whinny. I’m looking forward to learning more and progressing in my veterinary career.”

🧸🐶 Friday calls for a cutie pie photo! 🐶🧸

This is Teddy, and honestly… isn't he gorgeous?! 🥹💛

Teddy came to see us because he wanted to hold onto his baby (deciduous) teeth for a little longer than we would have liked!

When deciduous teeth are retained, they can create little spaces where plaque and tartar can build up, increasing the risk of dental disease. But in Teddy's case, there was another concern too…

His retained baby teeth were interfering with the way his permanent teeth were growing. Some of his adult teeth were being forced to erupt at angles, which could have eventually caused them to press painfully into the gum.

By removing the offending deciduous teeth, we've given Teddy extra room for those grown-up teeth! 🦷

Hopefully, now they won't cause him any further issues, but Sarah, who isn't just our lead vet but also our dental expert, will be keeping a close eye on Teddy's teeth as they continue to develop. 🦷👀

Well done, Teddy! 🐾💙
