Pack Walks
The emphasis on these walks is to encourage dogs to be with each other, but not rely on interacting with each

other constantly…. we aim to increase focus and connection with you, their handler, when there are other dogs and distractions about, so your dog learns that focusing on you pays off far more than running off to greet other dogs! We will also show you how to teach your dog not to chase joggers, cyclists, horse riders and livestock.

🐾 Enforcement Action Taken in Stanley 🐾

Neighbourhood Wardens have recently issued Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) to two individuals within the Stanley area following reports and CCTV footage provided by local residents.

One offender was issued with an FPN for dog fouling after failing to pick up after their dog. A second offender received an FPN for littering after picking up their dog's waste but then failing to dispose of the bag responsibly, instead leaving it behind.

Many people are unaware that bagging dog waste and then abandoning it is still an offence. Not only does it create an eyesore, but it can also harm the environment, attract pests and cause unpleasant conditions for other residents.

Dog fouling remains a significant issue within our communities. Dog waste can contain harmful bacteria and parasites which pose risks to public health, particularly for children using parks and open spaces. It also affects the enjoyment of public areas for everyone.

👏 We would like to thank the residents who provided CCTV footage and information that assisted with these investigations.

🐶 Dog owners are reminded that they must clean up after their pets and dispose of dog waste responsibly in a suitable bin.

📞 If you witness dog fouling or littering, please report it by calling 03000 260 000 or by visiting https://www.durham.gov.uk/dogcontrol

Most People Make This Reactivity Mistake…

This Westie would explode the moment another dog appeared.

Most owners focus on stopping the barking, lunging and pulling.

The real solution is changing the dog's emotional state and teaching calm decision-making around distractions.

Watch the transformation and see what happens when the right training approach is applied.

Would your dog react like this? 👇

He was labelled dangerous. Watch what happened instead. ゚

This dog came to me at the end of his rope.

His owner was exhausted. The walks had become something they dreaded. And honestly — they weren’t sure how much longer they could carry on.

Belgian Malinois cross German Shepherd. High drive. High emotion. The kind of dog that gets written off before anyone really tries.

We didn’t write him off.

What you’re watching in this video is the result of six structured sessions through the Reactive Dog Rescue Plan. No shortcuts. No suppression. Just getting to the real reason he was reacting — and working through it properly.

This is what’s possible when the right support is in place.

If you’re watching this and thinking “that’s my dog” — please don’t wait until things get worse.

A free 30-minute consultation costs you nothing. It might change everything.

How to Stop Dog Reactivity! Most people reward their reactive dog and then stand still. That’s the missing piece.

The moment you move away after the reward is the moment you start changing the emotional response for good.

Here’s what that looks like in real life with Orla.

If your dog reacts on walks and you’re not sure where to start, drop me a message or visit whoswalkingwhodogtraining.co.uk ゚

Out on a reactive dog training walk today with Ember, an XL Bully — muzzled as required by law, working hard, and doing everything right.

We were on a residential access road when a woman approached with her dog off the lead. She could see us coming. She carried on anyway.

Ember handled it brilliantly. That’s a credit to her and the work we’ve been putting in.

But this is a reminder to every dog owner out there — if you see a dog on lead, put yours on. It doesn’t matter how friendly your dog is, or how small. A reactive dog doesn’t care about the size of the trigger.

Dog etiquette protects everyone. It costs nothing.
