🎃This little beauty is Pumpkin 🎃 she came in a couple of weeks ago from Thirsk. She’s now stable and making steady progress. She’s very grateful to Nic for collecting and transporting and also for the very generous donations of food.
Pumpkin is one of 30 still in rescue so as you can imagine we are going through supplies at a quite a rate. We are using at least a tray + of Amazon pate daily. We still have little ones like Eddy and poorly ones like Polo who need RC puppy mousse to tempt their appetite and be gentle on their tummies.
Fluke 🦠 season seems to have arrived with a vengeance and we are buying in lots of bespoke meds 💊💉to treat it. Thankfully not PoM only but still quite expensive so thank you for the bank donations as they really are helping us save lives ❤️‍🩹

💙Meet Eddy💙 he arrived on Saturday at only 160g, he had some ‘guests’ too. He’s now flea free and is cosy in an incubator. He’s gained 10g and we hope he’s going to be just fine now he’s safe. He curls into the tightest ball as soon as he’s handled so it’s a good job he is able to feed himself!
Please send him some love. ❤️ This one will most likely be here until spring. If you’d like to help by sponsoring his stay please get in touch 🫶

🥳🩷Hollie🩷🥳 is back home in Bedale. So happy to be able to do a good news post. She is clear of the nasty parasites that made her poorly and gained over 200g. Well done Abby for spotting she needed help.
A lot of our supporters have wildlife / trail cameras set up on their feed stations. 🚉 as well as enjoying their antics it’s a great way to spot if something is not quite right and seek help / advice. Why not add one to your 🎄 wish list?
As always thank you 🫶 for the donations of food (we still have about 30 in here at the minute and they’re mostly in recovery so gaining their appetites back). We are always in need of Amazon pate and RC Puppy / Kitten mousse - yes we are still getting babies in - little Eddie was admitted yesterday at only 160g.
Also a shout out to the lovely ladies at Hartburn WI, two of our volunteers did a talk on Tuesday night, all about helping wild 🦔🦔🦔 in your own area and a little about what we do here (mostly crisis management if I’m honest). Thank you Jayne and Sue 🥰. Lots of useful donations and a bank transfer of £50 which helps with the purchase of meds - rescues cannot function without them, they’re mostly PoM only and very expensive.
Every bit helps, if you can donate please vist our website for our bank details or PM us 🙏🙏🙏
Here’s Hollie 🩷 testing the weather conditions (light drizzly rain - helps bring out the insects so great for natural foraging).

💙Timmy💙 was referred to us from where he was diagnosed with lungworm 🪱. He was just a juvenile at around 200g, too small to survive without his mum and treatment for those nasty parasites 🦠 so he was transferred here (transported by one of our fab 🦔 ambulance 🚑 drivers).
He’s was on a specialist treatment plan that included daily sessions in the nebuliser but now he’s nearly ready to go into an outside enclosure to finish fattening up and acclimatise to natural temperatures.
He’s a little poppet and has tolerated all his interventions with good grace 🥰
Please wish him well ❤️‍🩹 and if you can help, he’d really appreciate some Amazon pate to share with his friends 🫶🦔🦔🦔🦔

💙Bono💙arrived here in August as an 80g orphan 🫶. He was originally named Bonita as he was erroneously gendered 😳. This was very quickly rectified and a swift name change put in place.
☹️ Another little one whose weight has been up and down as a multitude of parasites gradually appeared once he gained weight. He’s completed his treatment plan and just needs to gain more weight now.
He’s a very precocious youngster and as soon as he was well enough he showed his gratitude for all the care and dedication he received by pooping 💩💩💩💩 everywhere- up against his 🚪 so it fell on the floor, up the walls on on top of his 🛌 .
He’s now just over 400g so has been popped outside to acclimatise to natural weather conditions and give him more space until he’s big enough to release.
Here he is showing his inquisitive nature and him as a baby 👶
We shall see how badly he trashes his outdoor enclosure 😣
Any help with food would be very much appreciated, particularly small kitten kibble and Amazon pate 🙏🥰

💚Lara💚 and Clyde modelling how we use Chalk Pens to differentiate between siblings so we can monitor weight and progress accurately. They’re fab - wear off so easily we need to reapply fairly often. Doesn’t cause any damage and there’s no smell.
Thank you to both and for the packs of chalk pens donated - much appreciated and already being put to good use 🫶
First pic is Lara Her sisters are pink 🩷 and orange 🧡
2nd pic is Clyde - his sister Bonnie sadly didn’t make it but he still has some of his colouring left.
We also use them on the glass doors to the pods as they’re bright and easily cleaned 🫶

This little beauty 😍 is Ruby 1. She was tiny on arrival, just over 100g and initially rallied well with support feeds and warmth.
She got to 300 no problems and then just crashed, dropped a lot of weight overnight 😢.
Poo 💩 samples showed internal parasites had become active - because she’d gained weight they were able to feed off her. Clever blighters these parasites 😣 they can hide until the host can sustain then - triple whammy too, roundworm, fluke and lungworm 🦠🪱.
She’s been on an intensive treatment plan as she lost lots of weight fighting 🥊 though this.
Thankfully 🫶 she seems to have finally turned a corner and has gained weight daily since Saturday
Please 🙏 send her lots of love and healing ❤️‍🩹 thoughts as she still has a long way to go 🩷
