This week we had a very special patient! 😍

This little lady was found walking around during the day and brought straight to us.

After some food and a warm bed she was collected by Midlothian Hedgehog Rescue and Rehabilitation and off for some TLC 💚

Educational Mondays: wound protection!

It is often very important to find ways to prevent your pets licking - usually at surgical wounds, injuries or inflamed areas of skin.

There are many inventive ways of doing so! Beautifully demonstrated by our models here...most commonly we would offer
- a plastic buster collar (cone)
- comfy collar (inflatable collar, sometimes not suitable e.g. for toes/tails some pets can get round them)
- medical suit (for covering wounds on the body, although important to keep clean and dry and ensure the pet is not licking the suit)
