We have had a female, red cocker spaniel handed into the practice this afternoon that was found near Kildrum medical centre. She is microchipped however details have not been updated. If you think this could be your dog please give us a call on 01236 728273

Remember guys, no dog ever died because they missed a walk or two. DO NOT RISK IT!!!

This heat is unbearable for our four legged floofers. Taking your dog out on walks, especially on hot paths and pavements, is flat out wrong. Pees and poops, fair enough, but keep it brief and don't let your dogs walk on hot ground (as best as you can manage).

Also, leave your pooch at home and out of the car. I shouldn't have to even mention this.

Good gracious this is just awful 😔 We hope the lady makes a full recovery!

Around 6.25am on Wednesday, 11 February, 2026, we received a report of a person having been attacked by a dog on Burns Road, Kildrum, Cumbernauld.

Emergency services attended and the woman was treated at the scene.

The dog was contained and left in the care of its owner. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
